Red face Hemorrhoid Home Remedy that works pls!

I need a CHEAP home remedy for hemorrhoids that works..

I've had a couple for a few months (good old pregnancy constipation..), but they haven't really been bothering me up until the past few days. (they've got a bit more, umm, out? in the past week or so ) I got some Anusol from the supermarket a few days ago as I was getting a little bit uncomfortable, which made me feel slightly better, but today I feel like I've got a couple of razor blades between my cheeks , and the creams not helping whatsoever.

I thought it might be time to see my GP about it but can't get an appointment until Thursday.

    So what works?

    Thankyou...

Try Sitting in a pile of salt, the pharmacist suggested that when I was preg with DS. It worked for me. Then I had a salt bath and was good as new. He also suggested whitchazel- it's a face cleanser that tightens the pores.

Does the salt not sting? (Like it doesnt sting already ).
Just regular table salt? And did you try the witchhazel, or didn't you need to after the salt?

It stung alittle but felt so much better after. If it hurts you too much put it in a bath and try that. Table salt is good. I used the witchhazel and it stung a little but I covered the cotton ball with it and constantly dabbed it and I could feel it shrinking.

I tried the salt.. didn't make any difference. I also went to the supermarket for the witchhazel (assuming its available from the supermarket?), but they didn't have it. So I got a different cream from the chemist, hopefully that'll work .

    Yeah that's where I looked..
I asked at the chemist too and she looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language..
Well I've used the cream 3 times so far, hasn't made a great deal of difference as far as the pain is concerned, but I think one of them might have shrunk a little bit (tmi sorry).. but is now alot harder than it was.. (again tmi!).
    Ahh the joys.
