My DH joined the RAAF 2 weeks later found out we were pregnant 3 months later married 2 weeks later he left for basic. As we were pregnant with our DS the RAAF put him on pool flight for his job training until our son was born. Then he was gone again for another 8 weeks or so, I was lucky his training was in our home town so could seem him most weekends. They packed everything but clothes put us up in hotel (just make sure they have requested cots if you need it as they forgot ours and we had to cover it we did get the money back) they did it quickly and only a couple of plates broken on a 4000 km trip so all in all good.

hey everyone, finally we have news that we will be posted to townsville very soon, hubby will graduate in 10days and i cant wait.... its been a hell , so is anyone from townsville that has replied or can tell me the do;s and dont's lol

caitiee what does and don'ts are u referring to? if u mean as a partner in general my don't would be if u go to any meetings plz plz don't mention rank some ppl like to play the rank card so if their partners and officer and you say yours is a private they might snob you. its stupid but it happens. if you get into a fight with any of the partners ignore them it could get back to your dp's boss and affect his career.
Also in regards to any operations overseas don't give any opinion regarding wether you support them or not anywhere including fb.

Exercise or deployments including names, dates locations are not to be mentioned further than direct family and close friends

My DH hasent had deployment yet and I havnt met up with any army wives yet! But I need to get a support network Happening soon!

In most areas they have community events and centers you can go to and met up with others in the defence life. I just did a google search to find the ones in my area. Hope that helps
