Default State primary schools in Melbourne Bayside

    Hi There,
Wondered if anyone has any suggestions on which state primary schools are best in Melbournes bayside area? I will be moving down from the gold coast for the next school year and my dd will be in year 1. Was thinking about moving to the Mentone area but not sure about schools around there?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

THanks so much. We are looking at living in Mentone or around there so that's great to hear. Do you like the area? I feel like I am picking somewhere completely blindfolded with no idea really.

My husband works there and our best friends live there. We are about 40 minutes further on.
They love it and it's a gorgeous suburb. Parkdale and Mordialloc are also nice. Of course there are some rough spots but generally it's a great area.

We still haven't moved down yet as my husbands job fell through but something else may be in the works now so still looking at the Mentone area. We want to be close to the city but can't afford the suburbs which are very close. We have family living in the area but none of them have school age children so it's hard to know which suburb would be best in that area.
