    Default Headaches

Ugh how I hate them. Have had one since thursday night now . Due to the change in weather here its about to storm so hopefully the pressure changes and it goes away! Feels like someone is digging their fingers into the top of my brain.
I'm utd so my usual box of drugs have remained untouched
What do u all do for relief?

Water. Ice pack/heat pack on head which ever gives better relief. Panadol 4 hourly. Shoulder/head massage. Green tea.

    Hi Happy

I am sorry to hear you have a headache I usually try an icepack and panadol 4 hourly when I have a headache.

Keep in mind if it gets to the point where you cant function you can take stronger medications like panadeine 15 and panadeine forte which are perfectly safe throughout pregnancy according to my obstetrician.

I was hospitalised on the weekend for a severe migraine and I was given morphine and I was still in the first trimester. I called my obstetrician before they administered it and she said it was safe, likewise with pethadine.

Cause it's a tension headache nurofen usually does the trick. Think I'll have to give in and take it! Can't suffer much more. Now the pressure is dropping with the rain finally here it might go away!

I am not sure that Nurofen is safe to take during certain stages of pregnancy, pretty sure its the last 3 months or something like that. So keep this in mind

I would personally check with my midwife etc before taking anything because some things arent safe.

I'll call work later. I work in pharmacy so they'll know. Funny you can have morph and not ibuprofen. I mean seriously how much damage does all the preservatives do!

    Hi Happygirl,
Some tips for you to treat headache.
Get a massage and watch what you eat. Increase water intake and use ice on paining areas. You can also kill pain with pain killers.
