Omg I did a small shop on the weekend and it was $230 that will only last DH, DS (17 months) and me for about a week. :-(

I would love some ideas on how to lower this if anyone has any. What sort of things do you eat throughout the day? What cleaning products do you use? What nappies and wipes etc?

I really need to get our budget in order somehow, this would be a fantastic start.

Ours is about $220 for a big shop (fortnightly) but then inbetween (other weeks small shop) I would probably spend $100 at least.. That's for 2 adults and 2 toddlers

2 adults and 1 child, never more than 200 a week, I do Coles online shopping and they have online only specials with a few items so I always check for those items and tick them off as I go, everything else I grab the cheapest brand. One week the bill is not more than $200 the other week is only about $50 grabbing more milk and bread, stuff that runs out pretty quick I'm happy with that!

Food for us - 2 adults (1 pregnant) and a 3.5 yr old is budgeted at $1000 per month. The vast majority of what we buy is organic though, meat and fruit and veg are all organic.
