Yay Miggins!!! Awesome stuff, have you told family and friends yet? How did it go? So exciting when you can finally tell everyone. Totally didn't plan on it but, DH &i "came out" about our infertility issues at the same time as announcing....felt good to have everything out in the open.

Sorry Littledove - cant help you but, all the best

    Hiya Windup!
Yes, yes, and YES!!! In answer to your first three questions I'm 40 weeks tomorrow and can't believe I'm finally here and so close! And yet, I feel like I've been pregnant forever.... I definitely still think back to those days when I felt like I might never get to be a mom and thank all of my lucky stars that all of my hard work is about to reward me with my very own little bub! :-0
Im still (as far as I know) plugged and watered up which is super frustrating as I've been trying all the tricks (insert 4km walk/waddle the day before yesterday!) and sending all my will for this little girl to make her grand entrance but alas....nothing I know that my OB doesn't want me to go over so, I'm guessing if she doesn't do anything dramatic in the next couple if days, this weekend might be the dreaded induction day......Excuse my baby-addled brain but, did you end up being induced in the end? I don't think so huh? I remember you did go over though didn't you? Did you try a stretch & sweep? Does anyone know if you can get a stretch & sweep if you still have your plug???
How's Miss Madeline? All better or, on the road to better?? Hope so. I will keep the epi advise as my backup plan, especially if i end up down the induction road and I promise I'll drop in and let you guys know how I go (going to see OB today to form a plan). xo

    Hi Ladydee!
Yes have just told family this week! And also at the same time have mentioned some of our journey with fertility issues to get to this point. They're all really happy for us. It's good to be able to share with people!

Miggins - sounds good. I think it feels more real when you can start sharing the news.

Ladydee - Ahhh 40 weeks! My little miss was 8 days late (although I went into labour when she was only six). I started having some spotting as my cervix started effacing about a week before and then lost plug about 3 days before contractions started. I had a sore back and some cramping for three days previous and when contractions started they were very vague and undefined and i thought maybe it was a tummy ache. I was happy to go over so was not planning a S&S until one week past due date. (Don't know about whether you can do it with plug.) I had contractions 5 min apart or less for nearly 20 hours before I let them break my waters (wasn't dilating). The contractions were very manageable for me until then, but once they broke my waters it was a different story.... I then had two rough hours and was only dilating very slowly so that was when I went for the epi. That was the only inducement needed, but it was still 9 more hours till she was born. It really was an amazing and wonderful experience. My favourite bit was watching in the mirror while pushing (they stopped the epi before I was ready to push so I could feel what was happening and push her out when I felt the contractions) and then, even while semi-reclined in the bed, was able to reach down and catch her as she came out. Makes me teary just thinking of it - so amazing! If you have the energy please feel free to keep us updated on the tmi moments leading up - like losing your plug

Madeleine is starting to feel better and is sleeping better again. We're taking her to the States next week to visit my parents. She is starting to interact much more with us and is so very lovely. Enjoying (almost) every minute.

Belly rubs to all you lovely pregnant ladies. Hope you're all managing to stay cool.

Awww thanks for sharing your story Windup! xo
Well, it's all happening....who knows if it'll be something I'll forever regret but, I'm going in for an induction tomorrow evening (midnight). Bub is a big girl with alas, her daddy's big head :/ and she's facing diagonal forward (but I'm determined to at least change that one thing....I know and can feel her turn towards the back when I do all the leaning forwards positions and bouncing on the exercise ball. OB said my cervix is still closed tight and he thinks she would happily stay for another couple of weeks or so growing bigger and bigger along the way So I'm concentrating on the fact that I'll get to meet her this weekend and will give it all my very best shot. Fx I can birth her and don't end up needing a c-sect. xo

    Thanks Ellymoe xo

Quick update...was booked for an induction midnight tonight but at exactly midnight last night my waters broke! Lol. So still no contractions but The plan of attack is to move around as much as possible today to try and get things moving along naturally but if nothing happens, still going to be induced but it will be tomorrow morning instead.....C'MON baby-Ladydee!!!
