    Default nambour selangor hospital OBs

Just wondering if anyone could give me reviews on the Ob's that practice out of nambour selangor private hospital in QLD.

We will have to travel very far to have care there but they are really successful with VBACs. Just not sure who to see.

    Thanks Renae

I've heard good things about Dr Bogiatzis.

I'm seeing Dr Bogiatzis and am planning a VBAC next month. Feel free to PM me with any questions at all

Honestly though, if I could turn back time I would probably opt for Dr Isaacs or Dr Morrow instead. That's going by many recommendations including my doula who said she would choose Dr Isaacs over any of the others for her own births and that she's absolutely amazing.

Dr Bogiatzis is good and is flexible with a few things (if you don't want to adhere strictly to all the VBAC policy hooha) but I haven't been 100% happy with his care and in my last appt while discussing my birth plan he made quite a threatening/bullying statement which I wasn't happy with at all. Happy to elaborate in PM if you need me to. I'll also add that my first Csec was in a way contributed to by him, when I was induced after being told my body "obviously wasn't working and wasn't going to do anything". I was 12 days over at the time and when I suggested waiting until 14 days over I was told there was no point as clearly I wasn't going to go into labour as I hadn't so far I had a reaction to the gels (think cascade of intervention) and that lead to c-sec.

*But* it's not all bad. He is very relaxed generally, he generally goes by the "all is well" approach and does let you have quite a say in your own care. Also if he tells you to do something and you can show him stats to why you're making another choice he's generally very supportive of that other choice. For instance he's agreed that if I do go post dates this time he's quite happy for me to go to 43 weeks before he "begins shifting uncomfortably in his chair and suggesting we get the baby out"

Also he was very good under pressure last time and I felt very safe with him doing my c-sec, so as a surgeon I do have confidence in him.

Depends what you want really, but do feel free to PM me

I have seen Dr Bogiatzis for last two pregnancies after my first preg was a cascade of interventions from Brisbane hospital and ended in emergency c-sec with big baby. George was more than happy for me to go post dates and I had successful
Vbac in 2010 which I credit a lot to his support of
My choices. My doula also recommended him and I have been back seeing him this time for hopefully by 2nd vbac due end feb. He was very supportive and I guess it shows that everyone's experiences are different.
He is also held in very high regard by a lot of other drs and midwives that I have spoken too.
    All the best! :-)

I've had two babies with George and I put a lot of research into finding him (due to a trauma filled birth a few years earlier) and was very happy with my care and his support of my choices. I don't hesitate to recommend him. You might not be able to birth at selangor though sadly and may find you will need to go to Buderim
