    Default Surprise wedding at Baptism?

Has anyone done this? Im after any experiences anyone has!

We are planning on getting DS2 and 3 baptised together in January next year. I've just had an idea to get married at the same time. We have been engaged for nearly 4 years, and arent really into the idea of a big wedding as we have prioritsed having our family first...

It will be at a Church, with a "picnic in the park" afterwards (or at my parents house, not quite decided yet). Which I was thinking of making a bit more fancy than we would have to make it a reception. I was thinking along the lines of gourmet catered BBQ.

What do you think? any problems you can see? Ideas?

    Great idea!!!!

I love the idea of suprise weddings and you will have all your nearest and dearest there for the baptisim.

Only tiny thing I could think of is would you get dolled up full wedding attire and have groomsmen bridesmaids etc or just once kids baptized just go into it?

I was thinking of getting semi dolled up...Im not really into the big white wedding dress anyway but would still want a pretty dress. I was thinking that we would just be running late with the boys and they can walk in with us all already dressed (maybe get family who know to usher everyone inside ready?)

We would probably have one bridesmaid and groomsmen each (my sister and DF's cousin who would both know)...

I think thats a beautiful idea. It would be so lovely to have your ceremony and baptism tied into one. They are such important days. And i love the idea of a picnic in the park.

Good luck it will be beautiful no matter what you do or wear.
