Question How do I get 2yo to pack up their toys.......

    Hello

I'm at my whits end today.....I have been trying to get my 2yo (nearly 3) to pack up her toys so I can get the house work done. It's frustrating me to no end as she puts one little piece away and then pulls other things out!!!! She's a bright little button and knows what I want her to do, she is just not wanting to do it!

Any tips of advise on how I can get her to do what I ask without me loosing it would be really appreciated. what works for you??
I don't want to turn into a raging bull when it comes to asking my kids to clean up after themselves. I want to 'train' her now so she knows whats expected of her, without me yelling and getting stressed out.

Oh, motherhood.....one of the many joys

I tell DS (almost 4) that if he doesnt pack up, dh will put everything in the white bag (bin bag) and lock it in the cupboard lol. Gets done well and gets done fast when that gets suggested lol....

I make it a race - say "Let's see who can pick up the most toys the fastest!". The kids will rush to chuck everything where it belongs - it's chaotic, but it gets done. If there's no siblings to race with, I'll help, and they have to be faster than me
