    Default Bottle refusal

Hi my DS is 9 months old and has always been breastfed with occasional expressed feeds from a bottle. He is babysat once a week while i study and never had issues with bottles. Expressing has never been easy for me so I have made the decision I'm not expressing anymore.

The first formula feed was not bad, he had about half...That was a few weeks ago and since then he simply refuses bottles, even with expressed breastmilk! I have tried 3 different formulas, 3 brands of bottles and 2 sippy cups but on the rare occasion it gets close to his mouth, he spits it out. But usually he is so upset I can't even get close!

    Does anyone have any advice?

My 9 month old had never taken a bottle - from about 7 months I tried heaps of different brands of formula and bottles. I just persisted every day, trying the bottle for one feed (same feed) every day - but didn't force the issue if she started to get upset. After about 3 weeks she just one day took it and drank half a bottle! The combination that worked for us was the Nan HA formula and MAM bottle (with number 2 teat even though that's for a younger baby).

Good luck and hope bubs gets back into the bottle soon!
