    Default Waiting between new foods?

Hi, I've just started 5 month old DS on solids and I totally agree with you. There is so much conflicting advice out there.
I was wondering if I need to wait 2 -4 days between introducing new foods. Neither DH or I have any allergies although I get eczema and hayfever (both at once during spring/ summer)
Also is it ok to start giving him full fat natural yoghurt at this age?
    Thanks.

Hi Jonnysmama, I think the confusion abounds because of the increased allergy in children and the possible link with delaying the introduction of allergenic foods. There is new research in this area but it always takes time to get consensus from the scientific community and filter through to the health advisors to the new mums. The recommendation is to wait at least 24-48 hours before introducing a new food just in case there is a reaction to it. It makes it easier to identify which food it could be.. The recommendation for full fat or whole milk yoghourt is from 7 months onwards.
