Hi girls..... Wondering how long it has taken for you to get your contract back from EDSA????? I emailed ours back 9 days ago...it seems like eternity.

Also sent 2 emails to CFC, one 4 days ago and one 6 days ago but no replies to either. It's driving me nuts!!!!!!!

Maybe I will wake up in the morning and the email will have some great things in the inbox!!

Sunny...Have you heard back yet? When did CFC send you their contract? I don't have one from them yet.

Pixel.....The upside to a long return flight is lots of time to relax!! Let us know when you are home.

Pixel - what a journey. Like the other ladies have said it's more about quality than numbers. I used to get 14/15 eggs - they were all bad, while younger girls producing only 2 eggs would get a BFP. I have so much hope for you. Also, it's perfectly normal not to feel anything after the transfer. I had never been pregnant before SA either and as the plane touched down in Australia I had tears in my eyes thinking it hadn't worked. In fact, I bought a pregnancy test the day before my blood test so that I could deal with the BFN on my own. Guess what BFP! Hang in there xx

DJHears - Are you sending the emails to your co-ordinator at CFC? I had problems getting a response at times so I would send them to the Dr if it had been too long and he always replied same day.

    Hi Ladies,

LANED & JED - thinking of you both right now.

PIXEL - As others have said you have 2 excellent blasts on board so you have as good a chance as anyone. Hope you get that BFP soon. I noticed you mentioned getting a tax statement from the clinic. Are we able to claim these medical expenses in our tax returns?

DJHears - Have been having technical troubles so apologies if you haven't received my last PM!! I will try again when I have the patience to work through what I am doing wrong.

As far as CFC contract. Mine was sent at the same time as the donor contract. Both contracts were sent from Nurture. As I am with Nurture maybe their processes are different to EDSA. It took a week for my funds to reach Nurture so donor can now have testing. I transferred money to CFC and heard back from Sonia in accounts within hours.

As far as emails go, I too am waiting a response from CFC re AMH testing of my donor! I sent an email 2 days ago.

    Bye for now,

    January xxx

DJ - I havent received any emails back from CFC yet...I really feel that they are flat out at the moment. CFC contract???...Im a bit confused...is there an actual contract? Cyndi at CFC sent me a Treatment Request Form that required signing by DP and I...is that what you are referring to? We have signed the Treatment Request Form and it was emailed back to Cyndi and Dr Wiswedel approx 2 or 3 weeks ago. I also experienced technical problems with emails to CFC the beginning of the week. I received undeliverable reports back to some of my emails, so I kept resending them in hope they get through...I havent received any undeliverable reports for a couple of days now.

Hi Girls...thanks for that. I don't have a contract at all from CFC and yes, I communicate with the co-ordinator Cyndi as basically Dr Wiswedel stepped back and Cyndi stepped in. I sent emails with the final results of our testings and have asked questions but no response. I have even sent an email to ask if everything is ok but no response to that either. Hopefully Kimenthra at EDSA will send back our contract soon. I am not sure but think our donor may be donating now so maybe that is holding stuff up, not sure. I guess I would just like some reassurance that its all ok.

I so want to progress up that Roll-Call ladder!!!!!!

Rubella: Mine came back low immunity. A friend that is a GP said to have a shot but the GP I was at said not to worry as I had at least some immunity. Have asked the question so guess I will wait and see what CFC say. Any thoughts??

Pixel - Oh sweetie, I can truly empathise, we only ended up with 3 embryos on day 5, 2 were TF the other was of such poor quality it was discarded. Like you I was devastated and they had to give me some Midazolam for the TF, to try an calm me down. I had expectations of having at least some on ice for the future, but alas that was not meant to be. Anyway, as you know one of mine took. So try and take some heart in that. I have everything crossed for you and DH. So glad you loved Pilanesburg. On the note of the donor, I would be having a chat with Nurture and advising that honesty in relation to donor profiles is paramount for recipients. Feedback like yours certainly does not provide a good advertisement for the Agencies. You would think they would be very conscious of the existence of forums like this one. Much love to you. I look forward to your wonderful news shortly

JED - I am sorry to read of your news. You must be so worried you poor thing. Praying that those bubbas of yours hang tight in their mumma for a while longer. Much love to all of you. Xxx

DJ - the great thing about Saffa time is they are 8 hours behind us. When I didn't get a response I harassed the clinic via telephone. I would try calling them.

To all other ladies, so many of you, thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement and support. You are all truly awesome. We are lucky to have such well wishes. Xxx

Thinking of you laned, Jed, and Pixel.

Looks like I will be going to SA 1st week in June, nothing official and no contracts yet. Our donors availability changed from Aug to June so now I am madly trying to organise things. Not a lot of time to do it. Found out from the travel agent today that I won't need a Visa if my stay is less than 90 days. Looks like we will be going economy all the way as the cost difference is $2K vs $3.9K for premium economy (each). Looking into getting an ipad. now I'm undecided as to whether I should get a tablet instead as the shop assistant said you can only download through itunes to the ipad which means my husband won't be able to watch his TV shows on it thru the internet like on the home computer. Was thinking it would be good to use on the flight over. He could play games/read/watch internet TV. The batteries probably wouldn't last the distance though. I'm guessing I should get an adaptor to be able to charge the electronic devises? So many things to think of! What size suitcase did the ladies who've been use? Need to buy new ones for myself and DH.

How can l thank you lovely ladies enough for your positive encouragement and personal stories - you have each put a smile on my face and helped me to stay relaxed and positive.

Our last day in Jozi and poor DH has got a fever, and gastro symptoms, naturally l'm hoping this doesn't pass to me and to be honest it would be extremely unlucky as I haven't had a "flu" or "gastro" for nearly 18 years - it's a be freaky but am touching wood as I type as it would be very unfair if l got one now.

January l have emailed my accountant re claiming medical expenses against our incomes and he hasn't got back to me but l had a quick look online at the ATO and I think we can. I'll keep you posted once l know for sure

Laned thank you for your support and recommendations - you have been my beaken of light knowing you had your experience in Jozi too and i agree about Nurture. I contacted them straight away and they responded with an apology and that they are updating automated systems that would normally have changed this on my donors profile and are now manually checking each profile has the correct previous donor information. I have found Nurture to be very quick to respond, very supportive throughout the process and a good nag to Medfem when I wasn't getting answers.

Flying out tomorrow night so hoping for a late checkout
p.s. couldn't believe the size of the needle for the progesterone but was surprised that it has not really hurt thus far. I did as others have suggested a bought enough for 12 weeks - l look forward to using them all

    Hi girls,

After 5 days of frustration form no response at CFC from Cyndi my co-ordinator, I emailed Dr Wiswedel. It may have been a public holiday there Thursday but she has had the rest of the week to at least reply to one of my 3 emails. Put in my email to Dr W that initial contact was far better previously and now that we are "in", it is not as good. Probably thinks I am a b----!

Friday morning 7am and I feel like chocolate to make my crankiness go away. Hasn't taken much so maybe I am gonna get AF......now there's a change!

Pixel....Have a great flight and hope Dh feels better and that you don't get it.
