    Hello to you wonderful ladies

Sorry for being 'vacant' for the last wee while...work has been manic!

Nicole72 OMG!!! Days to go until you leave...so exciting. I live in Perth too. We are renting at present, while we wait for our house to commence being built.
We are finding it difficult to choose where to stay in CT- so many beautiful places! We have booked our flights- so it's definitely happening

Missleo So exciting for you as well!! I will be looking to do accupuncture while we wait for ET. I am going to commence my meds on Jan 29th. Our appointment is on Feb 18th. If you like we could meet up for chat/milkshake in CT somewhere- if u like...

Wilsonjoy - Thank you for the name of accupuncturist. Where is she located? I just find it so relaxing. Because my lining has fluctuated over cycles, my specialist usually adds in estrogen patches. CFC has put Viagra pessaries into my Meds schedule! Any info/knowledge of this. That will be interesting...I secretly think DH is excited that it may turn my libido up a notch- he he

Take care ladies...and I look forward to reading your lovely messages

    Hi Jennilee,
Sarah Hewland is easy to find on google. She is in the next suburb and works from home. WJ

    Hi ladies!

Jennilee yes for sure lets try and get together. You are just a couple of days behind me - I start my meds on the 22nd and our first clinic appointment is Wed 13th (but we are arriving on the 10th). Will PM you when I get a local SA phone number. When are you arriving? We got an apartment at V&A Waterfront on suggestion of a friend who is from Cape Town, though by the sound of it the whole city is spectacular so you cant really go wrong.

SVD any news? Still crossing everything for you.

Nicole not long now!!!! Its going so quickly now you will be there in no time!

Hi everyone...have been out of action the last few days as was exhausted from the long haul flight. Word of advice to all...either have a stop over somewhere, fly direct or business class!

ANYWAY...after a marvellous trip exploring Cape Town and everything that it had to offer, on the day we left (Tuesday) recorded a POSITIVE on a HPT...what an end to the trip. Was in shock as I saw the double line! On Friday had the blood test and it is confirmed! PREGNANT! Am in a state of happy shock!

Congratulations SVD! You must be over the moon! I am so very happy for you. Remind me...how many did you transfer and did you have any frosties? what were your first blood test numbers? So now, its time to take it easy and bask in your new condition!! I agree with you about the flight...as I had to go back to Cape Town a second time, I struck a bargain with my partner to find the cheapest business class flight, and it was sooo lovely! Unfortunately this has tainted my view of economy for long haul flights for evermore! xxWJ

EY YEY YEY SVD!!! fantastic news Congratulations!!!
So happy for you!! There is that Saffaland Magic again!!!

Nicole72 how is your journey going?? Thinking of you and sending baby dust. Missleo and I are following closely behind you. When do you leave CT? We are going to catch up in CT- it would be great if you can join us. A little Aussie support group. Hubbies could have some male chat to help them

Missleo Hi I have done the Synarel spray before. It's pretty yuk- but it's bearable. I'm not fond of injections, so the spray is fine for me. We land on Feb 17th, with appointment on the 18th at 1230hr. We will probably stay around Claremont for the first few days, then go out to Stellenbosch for a couple of nights...after the 20th- which is the expected retrieval. Then 3 days after the transfer we are going along the garden route. Kynsa (cant remember spelling ) is really nice- I've been there before. We fly out on March 9th- so making a real holiday of it. YEY!!
DH has booked me into business class for return trip- using my flying points.
He keeps looking for another points seat to come up in business class.
Is it only 2 days until you start your meds? Exciting...take care

wilsonjoy I will contact the accupuncturist soon!! Great to hear all is going really well with you

Best wishes to evryone with where you are on your journey XXX

SVD - fantastic news and a really good number. I have been hanging out for your news. Try and take it easy and rest up if you can. Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy ahead. I am so excited for you. Yay another beautiful and amazing journey begins. Xxx

Ladies - my apologies for not posting sooner, attempted twice over the weekend and lost them with no recovery, so got a bit frustrated. I hope those of you getting ready to go are getting the last bibs and bobs organised. I know you will be having a mixture of emotions, but take comfort in the wonderful success stories. I look forward to great news from all of you in the not too distant future.

    Hi
I have wanted to post for the last couple of weeks and it sounds crazy but had to build up the guts to say my story - I've never joined a forum before and am a little afraid of being vulnerable. If fact through all the years of TTC I haven't followed any forum - this one is special - thank you to everyone who has shared their story, it has been so helpful to hear others going through ED in SA. I have found it wonderful to read your stories (all 51 pages ) and feel such support for one another and encouragement.

This is the a summary of my journey so far:
    Me - 38 DH - 38
    TTC 5 years
    natural 2.5 years
    Clomid 3mths
    lap hystero

    11. ED Sth Africa March 2013
We were planning to go through CTF and choose a 3 donors through EDSA but then found out the donors weren't available until late 2013 so we went to all other ED agencies and ended up choosing a donor through Nurture, our donor could only donate in Jozi so hard decision after so many glowing reports of CTF but had to go with donor of choice and Nurtures recommendation of Medfem for our clinic. So we are now waiting all clear from donor medicals then we can get treatment dates for travel plans. I am excited but also scared as I still feel fear of it failing and still put pressure on myself even though its not my eggs - mostly worried donor won't produce or they won't fertilize or that I'm not a good vessel - anyway keep reminding myself day at a time and we can only try.
Given that most have gone to CT I don't suppose anyone has any hotel recommendations?
Thankyou again for all the hope and advice you have all provided - it has been amazing.
    xxx

Hi laned, no news to report yet. The donor I would like is donating mid Feb and I won't know until after then if she will donate again. Isn't time flying, 24 weeks already!
SVD, so pleased for you. Do you know yet if it is likely to be twins?

Have been perusing some brochures that DH brought home from the travel agent, the prices for accomodation and game parks are certainly a lot cheaper mid year, might be able to stay a little longer for the same amount of money.
