Hi Jodi. Great news re. your scan. You must be soooooo excited!

Thanks for your generosity in sharing the info. Funnily enough, the donation agency also recommended Dr Le Roux, so I've booked in. I spoke to Karin last week and she was really lovely.

Our donor is getting her checks at CFC this week. All being well, I'm confirming the flights on Friday and we're flying off in 6 weeks - we'll be there for Xmas. I can't wait!!

Looking forward to hearing more updates from you :-)

    Hi Everyone!

WJ - yay for 2 boys! I have a 4 year old son and think that boys are great - what you see is what you get with them and as HelenMac said - they are usually real mummy's boys! You might be just a tad outnumbered in your household shortly though! :-)

Ianed - Hi hun, thanks for asking after me. Big congrats on making it to the 12 week mark! How did your OB appt go? You must have your 12 week scan shortly?

Summershine - I hear you re MS - I've had horrendous MS! Its hideous isn't it - I hope yours disappears soon though? Hope everything is going well for you otherwise?

Missleo - that's so sweet of you shedding a tear over my result - I was a bit of a twit jumping the gun and announcing that the cycle was a bust - BUT - just like to keep things interesting! Very exciting that you will be off to SA within the next few months - I will be cheering for you!

JoJo - sounds like its all action stations for you with your flights all booked and everything. I certainly echo what the other girls have said about CFC - couldn't fault them really!

Nicole - Glad to hear that you have picked your donor and it looks like everything is all set for you for Feb next year. Gosh - Feb 13 seems to be a popular time - at least the weather should be nice for you. Exciting way to start the new year that's for sure!

Helen - how are you going hun? Where are you up to with your treatment protocol?

AFM - well thankfully our two little ones are still hanging in there - we had another scan today and we saw their two little heartbeats - but they've been through a fair bit! Firstly last Monday I had a major bleed, went straight to ED and was absolutely terrified until they managed to get me in for an emergency scan . THen for the past 2 weeks I've been off work as I haven't been able to get out of bed because of horrid morning sickness and can't keep any food down because I just bring it back up again. I got diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum and have had to be admitted to hospital twice to have fluids and electrolytes through an IV. I was finally prescribed Zofran (a really strong anti nausea med) but it hasn't helped an awful lot. Then to top it off all three of us in the family (dh, ds and myself) all somehow managed to get the flu so I have been on panadol for the past three days to try to keep the fever down. So needless to say it hasn't been all fun and games in our household lately but I am just hoping that things settle down a bit after the 12 week mark - although with twins it can carry on a lot longer than that. Am just trying to focus on the bigger picture - these two little babies that we are so very grateful for!

Anyway - sorry for the rant ladies!

WJ - Yay congratulations on your boy double trouble woo hoo! When did you first notice the babies moving?

Jed - Oh Jed I feel for you. That sounds absolutely horrible. You are right though just have to keep focused on the bigger picture to keep you going.

Jojo - Christmas in SA would be amazing. Glad to read everything is progressing.

Laned - Congrats on getting passed that all important 12 week mark. How did it go with the ob?

AFM - Everyone keeps telling me that if you have bad morning sickness it means that you are having a girl. It would be interesting to see how our SA group goes with that theory. WJ did you have much morning sickness?

SS you should try the Chinese gender predictor test and see what it comes up with. I did the ring test first and got boy, then I did the chinese gender prediction test, also a boy. I wasn't surprised when I saw sausage and meatballs at my 16 weeks scan lol

I've been reading through the posts and am so happy that the majority of you are pregnant with the rest booked or booking to go to SA begininning of next year to fulfil your dreams.

Helen I am so excited for you that you can now look at returning, does that mean that everything is now sorted, fixed or under control? It's awesome news at any rate.

all my tests and scans have come back fine, seems the only thing that didn't return to normal was my eyesight but glasses will fix that ho hum, another sign of old age I expect. Starting my cycle for my frostie now, they are going to stop my cycle and give me a false one as per SA, so we will see. Not thinking about it too much, if it works it works, I have Peanut and that is all that matters.

    Hi All,
Having just got back to my beloved couch after a day of hectic work, I am happy to report a very all of a sudden bump emerging...there is no doubt from my appearance now, that I am rather pregnant, and not the girl who ate all the pies!!
Summershine I think my lads started moving around 16 weeks, and I had absolutely NO morning sickness at all. I did have a slight couple of dizzy spells around 15 weeks, but none since. I was so terribly tired from about 5-10 weeks, then I got my zest for life back! Now Im just a bit bored with work, and am counting down the weeks when Im out of there...6 more weeks I think! With all this rapid growth, Im getting a wee bit worried about going across the ditch for a wedding before Christmas...I may have to order a parachute to wear!! Hope you are all well. WJ

So good to read everybodies happy news! We leave on 27th December to begin our 'baby safari!' Its all becoming very real now that we have picked up the meds from the chemist. Such a relief that its not ME injecting all the hormones this time! Yay! Question for those who have been over, do you need vaccinations? When my GP wrote the drug scripts, she also wrote ones for rabies and some other things. I think she was getting a bit carried away! Its not like we are going to the jungles and wrestling rabid dogs! We are seeing Dr Matebase there as most of the other docs are on hols. Has anybody else seen her? Cheers all

    Hey Girls

sorry been MIA lots of trouble with two of our fur babies

Jed - hope the sickness is starting to settle for you Hun.

SS - likwise hope you are feeling better.

Jodie - that is awesome and such exciting news. To you. Xx

WJ - you pie comment is so funny. With the extra added drugs my FS put me on I look like I am having twins. Lucky just about weaned off everything now. Have my last prontogest tomorrow yeah. My bum feels like a lumpy pillow filled with marbles.

SVD - how exciting, I bet it is starting to feel real now. Won't be long now.

AFM - Ob appointment unremarkable. He repeatedly told me that I just have to stop worrying and start enjoying it all. He said I am fine and my babies fine. When I asked him if I could see him every couple of weeks he said "you can but I'm not going to scan you every two weeks. The most I'll do is Doppler", to which I said I can go to my GP for that. So I don't se him for a month and he also talked us out of NT scan if we had no intention of proceeding to amino. Furthermore, he said with a 22 y/o donor risk was minimal. Love to all. Xx
