Hello Killara Pimary is fantastic (also agree with Sunbury primary being a great school. Dd will be going to Killara primary unless we do move to Jacksons hill.

I've heard really good things about Mcewen Drive Kinder. Not sure about the others!

HTH! Where are you moving from? Good luck with it all, Sunbury is a great place to live

Hello. nice to hear from you.

we are moving from inner city. trying to settle into country like and family friendly area.

how about sunbury heights. i have checked online, the rating is not that good tho.

Killara, ok, just checked, no house for lease at that side yet. we could go for west sunbury or subury heights.

your son is nearly 1.5 years old? my son is 4y old.

Oh that will be a nice change, ive lived here my whole life and am happy to now be starting my own family here!

Sunbury heights - not too sure, it's right near us but it backs onto the oval of Sunbury downs heigh school. I walk past there every day, they seem to have alot of new facilities etc but on regards to it being a good school I'm not sure. Sunbury west is apparently okay too dps mum is a primary school teacher and knows all the goss on Sunbury schools, I'll chat to her tonight and see what she says if you like

I actually have a daughter and yes she is almost 1.5 aww 4 is a beautiful age, I hope he enjoys the move also

All my nieces and nephews go to school at Kismet...
They LOVE it and it's such a great school, one of my nephews needs help with minor special needs and he loves the school, my sister find the school super supportive

My eldest is in prep this year at Sunbury Primary School and I absolutely love it. It ticks all my boxes - there is a wonderful school community, the standard of education is excellent, the sports and arts programs are great, they have excellent computer equipment etc (they run mac) and it is just an astheticly pleasing environment to learn in. It is also a smaller school than many of the others in Sunbury (approx 370 kids). It is also in quite a secluded area which means that there are not people passing by the school looking in and people loitering around the school would be noticed. Sunbury Heights is just at the end of my street but have heard so many negative reports on it from parents with kids at that school so did not consider it and instead drive the 10 minutes to Sunbury Primary. Many of the families seem to be from outside Jacksons Hill. Reputation-wise, the 3 best schools would be Sunbury Primary, Killara and Kismet.

As for kinder, we went to Sunningdale (Goonawarra - used to live on the other side of Sunbury) and loved our teacher but wasn't so impressed with the teacher of the other kinder group there so it's a bit of luck on who you get. I've also heard good things about Stewarts Lane. At St Andrews for the second child and it's fantastic but it has a waiting list a mile long so if it's for next year you'll be in trouble.

thank you for the tip, we might contact the school and enrol our son into it. but he will miss primary by 1 week next year, so it's a shame. as for kinder, he can't go to preschool as he turns 4 after april. (shame again) so i am looking for child care for him, so far we have checked abc west and forever freinds. abc west has bigger room and bigger outdoor play ground, forever freinds staff are nice, but room is a bit too small and outdoor area isn't as impressive as abc. i can't decide at the moment...

Don't know much about ABC West Sunbury. Ours went to ABC East Sunbury (Barkly St)and I'd certainly recommend them. They are fantastic. If you're going to do Sunbury Primary, alot of kids from there go to Sunbury Primary so he would make some friends that he would go across to school with. I've also heard good things about ABC Sunbury Central (opposite the aquatic centre) and the other one I've heard heaps of good things about is Complete Kids in Killara. Good luck and feel free to ask anything.
