Question Elective C section or VBAC at Bacchus Marsh

Has anyone been accepted into Bacchus Marsh Hospital and opted for a Vbac or an elective C/S? This is baby no#2 for me and with DS1 i had an emergency C/S, i went and saw my GP who does shared care and he said that i might not get into this hospital as i have already had a C/S. Im not sure if i want a VBAC or a C/S but i would really like to choose and not be told what i have to do.
I have heard great things about this hospital and would love to go there, if i cant i have to go to the Royal Womens and im not sure i want to go there, or i have to go private again but i know my OB wont let me even consider a VBAC.
If i get rejected by Bacchus ill be 9 weeks as thats the only appointment i can get i hope its not to late if i do have to change hospitals.

Hi, don't know anything about Bacchus Marsh or what your options are... but don't panic about being "rejected" at 9 weeks. I found out last week, AT 32 WEEKS, that I have been rejected by the hospital that I was planning to birth at.... and now am at a total loss as what to do because I REALLY don't want to birth at my local hospital.

Hope someone else is able to help you with what you want to know.

I had dd at the marsh hossy and if all goes well will have this one there too.
Although it is the main hospital in the Bacchus, Melton, Ballan etc area, it is still classed as a "small" hospital. They can do basic stuff, but anything complicated normally gets transferred. They can't deliver under 36 weeks, over certain weights, treat sick babies or kids - all will be transferred. You might want to give them a call annonomously and ask, but I think a vbac would be classed as complicated... C-sections I know they can do though, a girl from my work had one there at the start of the year and had no issues..... Good luck, I really like the hospital, and the midwives I have had have been excellent!! Xoxo
