babygirl - gorgeous cakes! I love the one with the Night Garden characters.

Fuschia - we were SO close to making an Angry Brids cake for DSs birthday (last month). He changed his mind so many times. Yours is amazing! If you have a look at my facebook link (last post) you'll see what he decided on - the 'dragon island' from How To Train Your Dragon. LOL

DH and I are feeling sad because we generally only make cakes for our kids birthdays (may and july) and our God kids (Feb and April). Feb is so far away! I have another Godchild whose b'day is in December. I think I'll be making him one because we are addicted.

Fuchsia - I've also taken a liking to cupcake decorating, I find it a little easier then decorating a whole cake!

The courses are expensive, I was quite shocked when I saw how much actually, I thought maybe around the $150 mark but the Company I am doing them through charge anywhere from $360 upwards

Maria02 - That is an awesome cake! My DS1 is demanding I make him a transformers cake now I'm actually ashamed to say that I have never baked any of my kids birthday cakes, but now that I have found this new hobby I can't wait!
You need to hop onto Pintrest! It has so many cupcakes!

Fuchsia - I made a pinterest account last night after reading the recommendations off another thread on BH

I'm about to go out so I don't have time to look at all the cakes, but I can't wait to get home so I can take a peak!

Does anyone know where I can get pre made fondant in brisbane? I am on the southside.
Cake ornament co is where I get mine. They have a few locations, have a look on their website also, woolies sell it in 500g packs for $3-$4. It's in the cake decorating isle in a small box called white icing.

Only problem with fondant from woolies is it doesn't have the preservatives in it like the proper stuff so it goes funny after a month or two, so don't use it for things u want to keep, spotlight sell fondant too

And it's the worst tasting fondant ever lol. I've used it before and I found it to be easier to work with than other fondants.

If you have an ABN you can buy Bakels fondant. It tastes heaps better and is a great fondant to work with!
