    Default Cake Decorating!

Does anybody else enjoy Cake Decorating? Or wanting to start it as a hobby!? I never realised how much fun I would have getting creative in the kitchen. I thought this would be a great place to share tips and show off our creations!

I've only just started out, and have ordered a couple of Wilton's Cake Decorating Books and Supplies and am doing a beginner's cake decorating class in the next couple of weeks, so I would love tips from the more experienced decorators, on little tricks you do and basic supplies and tools needed in the kitchen.

Hey I'm into cake decorating :-) I'm not awesomely experienced but I have done a few cakes, including a pirate ship last weekend

One thing I find easier when starting out are the disposable piping bags from Coles/Woolies rather than the stiffer professional ones

U will need multiple mixing bowls lol and the big roasting pans u can buy are awesome for baking big cakes!

I love cake decorating! I am starting a cake business so I have heaps of supplies. Check out eBay for supplies. You need good palette knives and a good set of colours. Gel ones are the best to use with all types of icing. There is more but I can't quite think today! Good luck. It takes time to master but I find it so relaxing!

Would love to do cake decorating!! Have been getting the urge to bake lately. Have committed to trying cake pops sometime real soon, need an occasion to make them for though, because I'm on a diet !

I love cake decorating!! I'm more into novelty cakes- making cakes in different shapes etc. Having said that though, I don't have many opportunities to do it- (I need some kids!) and I don't just want to make them for the sake of making them! so I only manage to make one once a year for DH's birthday- fortunately he really gets into it last year I did Grimlock (I think) from Transformers- I'll try to find a picture!

I like cake decorating as well. But I really don't do it very often unless I don't have to worry about the kids for a while, so it doesn't happen all that often these days. I'd recommend getting the planet cake book as well. The cheapest place I found them was the book depository uk. I would love to do a planet cake course but I never seem to be in the right place at the right time.

I love it! I'm not very good yet but I hope to be.

I spend a lot of time looking at cake stuff and my favorite is cupcakes!

I will come back with some pics soon.
