Hi how is everybody going in here? Just thought I'd keep the thread alive. I'm booked in for my 20 week scan Thursday. Hope it all goes well. Where is everyone else up to?

All OK here. Have been very tired though, and busy at work, so didn't check in for a while.

I am sorry that Emski and MrsErinR are not on this thread anymore.

Team panda - Hope all is well with your scan.

Really tired the last few weeks. Feel OK during the day and then it hits me around 7pm or so and I just want to crash. Was worn out after last weekend. We had a work retreat on Friday, then I had social events to go to on Sat and Sun.

Also tried to install the car capsule, but then realised that we need the strap that attaches to the bolt at the back, and that we need an extension strap. So now have ordered these extra parts. Lucky that we didn't wait until I was in hospital to put the baby carrier in.

Waiting for a scan next Wed. I hope baby is not measuring with a big abdomen any more. My weight has only gone up by a kg since the last scan 5 weeks ago, but I'm sure my belly's bigger. I am about 20kg up on pre IVF weight.

    How is everyone else?

I think we're all good here. Had my morph scan last week and all looked good. They didn't find any markers for Down Syndrome so reduced my risk x3, making me low risk now. So relieved, although won't truly relax until the baby is here and healthy. We didn't find out tge sex although I can't wait to know! Was checked out by the specialist dr who told me to stop worrying, he couldn't see anything he was concerned about. That has really helped my anxiety and I m feeling much bettter.

How was your scan today Panda??

Glad you're travelling ok Chook. It's getting so exciting for you!

    Hi girls,
I made a mistake and my scan is tomorrow.
I was also sad that we lost Mrs Erin and Emski, hopefully they'll be back soon. How many weeks are you now Chook? I know what you mean about being tired. I have to stay back to do some important proof reading today and Im feeling sooo tired at the moment. Not really at my best to proof read!
Octoberbaby I wonder if our obstetricians must think all ivf mums are neurotic, we must all be going to see them always expecting the worse. My obstetrician told me to stop worrying to. He said the next big risk at this stage of pregnancy is labour and birth. Of course Im still worried about my scan tomorrow, though stomach is definitly growing so something is going on down there.

Good luck tomorrow Panda! I think all IVF mums to be are probably neurotic! The whole process/pregnancy/birth is so anxiety filled. I often wonder what it would be like to fall pg easily and 'enjoy' your pregnancy! Hopefully you'll feel much better tomorrow.

It is hard to see girls miscarry their pregnancies. My heart really goes out to them.

Hi ladies, just thought that I'd pop back in to say hi.. I know that sadly I was not on this thread for long, but I still think of you all and hope that things are progressing well.. Sadly Emski has joined me in the MC support thread.. We are all there giving support to eachother ( I also have encountered a couple of ladies from my due date thread )
While I know it's not a good site to be part of ( for the obvious reasons) it is heartwarming that we all have found that strength ( to share and support eachother in this sad moment in our lives )
Keep on enjoying the journey and sharing your experiences.. It gives me / us hope .. Thankyou everyone!!

Hi octoberbaby, sadly even falling naturally has it's stresses.. We TTC naturally for 10 years.. ( we dont have PHC.. And cannot afford IVF.. So That's still 10 years of cycles.. Am I or aren't I this month.. Then to finally conceive .. A miracle.. Then to MC.. Absolutely heartbreaking!!

Hi Maturemum, thanks for dropping in. I remember when I miscarried I wasnt on the threads, but it would have helped immensly at the time. When I spoke to people about it, so many came out and shared their experience with me. Its a horrible thing to go through and when its happpened you just want to move forward and fall pregnent again asap. I never thought it would take me another 2 years of constant stimming. But one thing I knew was that I did want a baby after that mc. I think I was a bit blase about it all before. The miscarriage made me more determined than ever before. I hope that you fall pregnant sooner rather than later. I hope it happens to you again. Dont give up. My 43 year old friend is trying for her third now, the first 2 were all concieved naturally after getting married at 40! Not fair is it!?
Anyway off to have my 20 week scan shortly. Hope everything is ok with bubba. Im very attached to her now.

Thanks for sharing maturemum. It is a timely reminder that conceiving naturally can also be very stressful, and having miscarried also, I do know how heartbreaking it is. We haven't really shared our IVF journey with many people at all, and I sometimes get upset by blase comments about how people did this or that, ate/drank whatever and make me out to be a bit of a princess. My thoughts are that even if some things seem over the top, or I think the guidelines are probably a bit full on, after years or trying and lots and lots of $$$$ I am doing everything I can to help this baby arruve safely.

Really hoping you join us here again soon xx.

Hope all was good today Panda!

Hi, just got back from scan and all is good. Got some weird 3d and 4d images of her. She kept putting her arms and hands in her mouth and swallowing, quite amazing. The funniest thing of all is that she has my husbands mouth and chin. So weird how you can see all this at 20 weeks!
Octoberbaby I think it will all be ok this time. Let's enjoy the little miracles we are carrying.
