    Hi Ladies

I already "know" some of you and have been lurking for a while but now feel the time is right to join this thread. I am 43 and 15 weeks (yesterday) pregnant with twins using donor egg and sperm on overseas cycle. My last pregnancy ended after scan at 7 weeks with no heartbeat and this one had 2 HUGE bleeds in my 7th week and continued loss for 3-4 weeks after so have been very cautious til now. I am still scared something will happen but see that this is normal especially after so many tries.

My due date is 9th August but obstetrician wont let me go past 38 weeks. She is happy for VB as long as 1st baby is head down but in some ways feel caesarian would be safer due to twins and my age. At present one head up and one down but they swap between scans as early days. I will be having 3 weekly scans from 20 weeks to check growth so get to see bubbas lots which is great.

Hi mammalinz- congratulations on Annikas birth. I am nervous about something going wrong but I guess that is common. Hard to tell if I am showing as had a belly to start with. Have lost 4 kg so far as struggled to eat and drink for first 12 weeks. Started maxalonwhich helped a bit but still heaving frequently and vomit occasionally. No food interests me which is shocking since I am a foodaholic

wannbb - I was on maxalon for the whole pregnancy - unfortunately it did not stop me throwing up twice a day ! It got worse throughout the pregnancy, in the end nothing worked or stopped the vomiting. Oh well, there was light at the end of the tunnel... a baby!!! I thought it was due to my age ,as with my first pregnancy - no such problem. People say it had nothing to do with my age, but in fact because I was having a girl. Sooooo maybe your having girls?
I was nervous throughout the whole pregnancy - Now that wasnt very reassuring, I guess I am trying to say, yes, it is very normal! Oh but you must be so so happy, excited, elated.. it is such a good feeling, yes?

    HI Ladies,
Just popping in to say Hi I have been a bit quiet lately -- work is hectic (and stressful) although this week was good as my student teacher took most of my classes. Getting quite exhausted -- not even wanting to go shopping. I am 11 weeks and 2 days today. Our appointment with the ob is Tuesday, and I am having the NT blood tests Monday with the scan the following Monday. It will be great to see a scan of bubs as I haven't seen the little one since
Having various aches and pains, and a horrendous headache the other day which had to end up taking some panadol for (packet said it was safe).

Congrats on the GTT tests Frosty -- I am trying to watch my sugar intake just in case.

Thanks for sharing your story Pru -- it helps to know things can turn out alright, even if problems occur ! I am lucky my job has me up and down stairs a lot so I can keep fit that way but I do miss the gym. I don't seem to have put much weight on yet and I certainly have been eating.

Gardenia -- hoping everything has gone well for you.

Lil'Wish -- how are things going?

Hi to everyone else I have missed !

That is so wonderful - twins!!! Oh, I well remember you being in the thread. I (sort of know) what effort you have gone too, although I (think) know you went OS for donor egg & sperm. Well done! Goodness, you're going to have your hands full! Are you in Tassie or SA? I can't remember. I had my beautiful baby boy Oliver in early October. 3 & half weeks early. He's an absolute delight. I had 4 bleeds - the last one being around 14 weeks. But look what I have now... Very, very blessed.

Good luck and all my best wishes.

wannabb--- for the twinnies. Welcome to this thread, I've been eagerly waiting to hear how you're getting on since those bleeds. I was bleeding this pregnancy from the start till 14 weeks, and I'm almost 28 weeks now.

Pru---THanks for sharing your story about your strapping 6" boy.

Wannabb, Woo hoo for those sticky twinnies! Congratulations, so glad you feel you are able to join our little thread. Joining a Pregnancy thread was such a huge step for me, and it has really helped to be with other women who have suffered the same fears as me (and particularly those for whom it all turned out okay - in fact terrific - like our lovely Mammalinz and Redmumma!) Sorry though to hear you are still sick, I don't really have anything that will help (or, nothing I tried help me much anyway). I did start to feel better after 16 weeks, but I know twin pregnancies are different - I hope you start to feel better soon.

Pru, God its so hard to keep up the exercise and diet - I admire you. Here's hoping it pays off soon for you with a lovely sticky BFP

Frosty, hope you are keeping those legs crossed

AFM, I had the infection screen on Thursday so anxiously awaiting the results when I see the obs on Monday. Hopefully they show the all clear. It will be good to see our little fella again, though he has been kicking up a storm and that is soooo reassuring! Am finding it increasingly hard to get comfortable enough to sleep and am up twice a night now - ahhh good training for when bubs gets here, I suppose! Am 28 weeks now (YAYYYY!) which has been a massive psychological milestone, I know that the little chap will make it if he were to come out now. Am feeling so much more cheerful - just have to get through these infection tests and the GTT next Thursday .... more hurdles ...

Hi everyone, sorry - trying to catch up after being offline all week
New job keeps me busy on computer all day and too tired at night to get on again!

Great to see you here, wannabb! 15wks already! congrats!

    Hi to everyone else.

AFM, had my 7wk scan on Thurs. I was soooooo nervous, thinking if this has mc again, that's prob it for us.... Couldn't believe it... good size and heartbeat! FS very happy! We're ecstatic!!!!. Still a little bit wary cos the longest we've gotten so far is 8wks, but feeling a lot more confident. No real signs apart from sore growing boobs . I little twinge here and there but nothing to be concerned about, so I'm happy. I can breathe again! Seeing Obs on Mon so get to see bean again - yay! I think he's going to keep a close eye on me cos of history. Anyway, on cloud nine for now
