Default Safe n Sound Royal 'Recliner or Rectractor Car Seat

    Hi all,

We are looking at buying a Safe n' Sound Royal Car Seat but can't decide between the 'Recliner' type or the 'Rectractor' type?

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations. I know that one comes with padding on the straps and the other doesn't?

What would you recommend? Please help. I'm confussed.

    Thanks, Tiana

We've got the recline, with the extra padding and the manual seatbelt adjuster (I think that's the other difference). I know when I bought ours (3 years ago) I was worried the automatic retractor thing would break and was more comfortable adjusting the straps myself.

Either way the Royales are great.
If anyone sees the sleep fairy, can they please send her my way

I have had 2 of the retractor car seats and did not like them as I felt they did not work properly as I had to stick my hand down the back to tighten it myself as I was not happy how loose the straps always were. Now I have the manual one and love it. The shop where I got that one from does not stock many of the retractor models as they dont recommend them. But I guess it really depends on the person and what you feel comfortable with.

We have the recline one it's great, the only thing is if you have a very small baby you'll need a padded insert, my DD wasn't that small but she still needed the extra padding.

    Thanks Ladies,

I think I will stick with the manual (recliner) type one as I have heard a few things with the rectractor also.

It's great to have your feedback, esp. since i'm all new to this.

    So Thank You.

    Tiana
