Kimnus I'm glad things are looking up for you. We are hoping for bub no 2 in the near future too.
Did you have pnd or just plain ol' depression?
I was on meds my entire pregnancy as the Dr said it would be more beneficial for me to stay on them rather than come off and bub was perfectly fine
Hope today is awesome for you!!

I really don't mean to hi-jack your thread so I apologise, but I was hoping as you are licing with deprression you may be able to give me the push I need. I am struggling big time and trying to reach out for help, but every time I end up going to talk to anyone about it the only things that come out of my mouth are that everything is fine, even though my head is screaming at me that I am not.

    How do I overcome this?

supa_star you are welcome to talk here at anytime! Do you have any support/someone to go with you and start off the conversation for you?
(my partner does this at each check up if he thinks I'm not telling the whole truth LOL)
The first step is admitting you need help

Thankyou. I don't kristy and I think that is half the problem. I am a single parent, and whenever I meet new people I am very good at putting on the face I think people want to see. Even my family don't really know because when I tell them they say they want to help but don't know how, so I have stopped telling them.

My depression was brought on by a traumatic event so I have PTSD and anxiety.

Supa_star I am the same as you it took me so long to tell my GP and even now I still go in there and say that I am ok.

I am the same, very good at pretending things are okay. Feel free to message me at any time.

Have you tried maybe a phone service such as lifeline at least then you can remain anonomys ?

    Where abouts are you from?

    Hi ladies

Kimnus: that's great to hear you are starting to feel better and to simplify things
I was in the same place as Tojo when we decided to TTC #2 DH was so worried how I would cope being pregnant again as I had a real rough time both mentally and physically with number one, and how ip would go with 2 under 2 but it was so much easier the last time and I have even surprised myself with how well I am doing most days. I think it's all about surrounding yourself with all the support you need. Good luck with TTC

Kristyb: yeah what is with the mirrors everywhere in gyms it's not good for the self esteem lol

Don't be too hard on yourself if it makes you feel any better today I have just sat on the couch and finished off a whole block of chocolate

I haven't tried a phone service, perhaps that is a start. I think I will see how I go at the dr tuesday and if i struggle telling them then i will ring lifeline.

I am in ocean shores, northern nsw.
