I was diagnosed with Depression and Social Anxiety when i was 16, which stems from my childhood (wont go into details, still working on the issues). I find if i dont take my meds for even 1 day, i feel moody, sad, hate the world and i cant sit still or relax.

I have been seeing a therapist for about 7 months now and she is great. I am doing Cognitive Therapy and it really helps. I am able to manage my moods much better and I am much more social with friends.

If you ever need to chat, PM me....i often need someone to vent to

    Hi tazfitz

That's great to hear that you have found a therapist that is helping you so much I found it hard for many years to feel comfortable with any of them and as such didn't have much success I guess its all
    about finding the right one

I'm always up for a vent or to offer an ear so vent away

AFM: today I had someone come out and do bubs and my 4 week check up and I had to do the Edinburgh test which came back pretty high which was a bit sucky... It's normally been high but not as high as today for a long time maybe I'm not doing as well as I thought... Oh well I guess on the upside now I know I can start working to get myself back out of this rutt I'm in

Sorry for the pity party vent just needed to get it off my chest

I'm feeling a bit more positive about things today, it's a nice day here so I'm going to get out of the house for a bit and soak up a bit of sun

    Hi girls,

I suffered with depression close to 10 years ago. Was on medication for a year and sought some counselling. Was ok until I had DD (my 2nd child). Ended up with PND and am still not in the greatest place at all. Like others have said I go through phases - I have a week of feeling pretty good and then I'll feel low again. My Dad died 9 weeks ago and that has been really tough. Would have been tough anyway but with a fragile headspace I've found it extremely challenging.

Oh teenie I'm sorry to hear about your dad. It would make your already fragile state more challenging. Just take it day by day.
Inkognito I'm slowly forcing myself out into the world even if it's for a short walk it does seem to make me feel better too, it's just finding the motivation to get outside.
I'm getting married in 7 weeks and omg what an emotional rollercoaster that is!
