Sorry to read about that Kristy I hope some nice person has handed it in.

But I really popped in with my mod hat on to ask you lovely ladies if you'd like to have this thread stickied, so it stays at the top of the General Depression area? Just post to let me know.

    Cheers

    Hi ladies

I hope you don't mind if I join in

I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety when I was about 13 and then when I was 25 i was also diagnosed with S.A.D (seasonal affective disorder) just to top it off.

I have been on and off many meds seen many professionals throughout the last 15 or so years, and can finally say that I feel I am beginning to understand my moods and generally know when I need to put my hand up and say "hey I need so help here"

I'm feeling really violated from losing my wallet.... To know someone has all my details makes me feel so uncomfortable and paranoid.....

    Hi girls!

    Hope everyone is ok today.

I had a dr review yesterday.. We've increased my dosage (was 50mg pristiq, now 100mg) because whilst there is improvement there isn't as much as there should be.

    Sigh...

My dr though wants to get out in the community and raise awareness of mental health and depression and help break the stigma against it.. And asked me to be a motivational speaker and make speeches and help! Woo hoo! Thrilled about this.

Not thrilled when she said upon reviewing my full mental health history that I'd be on AD's for the rest of my life. Sigh.

    hi kristyb

S.A.D is when the symptons of depression get worse at the same time every year, its normally in winter when there is not as much sunlight (who knew sunshine could make some people feel better).

the rest of the time i have your run of the mill symptoms, i cant imagine what having physical symptoms would be like, it must be the pits i can barely handle my anxiety attacks at the best of times...

i hope someone hands in your stuff

    Hi Mummy+T+C

i hope you are feeling better about things today

i agree with Kristyb its awesome that you get to speak to others in the community, i think you will help alot of people by doing so

AFM: today has been a bit crappy but i am trying to stay positive that tomorrow will be a better day (fingers crossed)
