Underwire Bras

Hey BF mummas, I have been BF for 10 months (high fiiiiiiive!) but I am so so so over not wearing underwire bras to hold these boozies in.
Do you ladies still wear maternity bras?
I know that they are convienient they are but is it really necessary after this long?
The no underwire is not doing me any favours in the gravity department but obviously don't want to jeprodise my milk ( I heard it can block ducts etc).

So after this long are you in maternity or prancing around in a beautified up lifting underwire bra??

I've been breastfeeding for 13 months now and still wear no underwire, but I stopped wearing maternity bras a while ago and just bought some lovable bras with no wire. They're not as huge looking as maternity bras and I just stretch the cup down for feeding. But I dont have big boobs, so not sure if it would work for everyone.
Oh and also, I tried my old underwire bras on a couple of times and they were so uncomfortable

I turned back to my normal bras after 6 months. That was 7 months ago. I had to ditch the maternity bras because my e cup breasts didn't cooperate with general childcare activities... black eyes were going to become a problem. I haven't had any problems with anything including blocked ducts. I just stretch the cup down to feed. I feel so much better in my normal bras, I look better too.

I think after a couple of months i caved and went back to wire no issues for me and I'm going on 4.5 years consecutively

do what you're happy and comfortable with at worst swap back

With dd2 I started wearing wire when things had calmed down and she was starting solids so around the 11-13mths. Cake make a flexiwire bra now. I'm yet to find the maternity shop here in SA tht sells them but I've heard they're good, you can order online.

I tried on a flexiwire maternity bra - I think the brand was Anita? - and it looked so much better than normal maternity and comfortable too. But it was really expensive, nearly $100, so didn't buy it. But if you are going to be breastfeeding for a while, and/or have more kids, it may be worth looking at some (there are probably cheaper ones too). I wish I had bought it now, because I would have got so much wear out of it.
