    DH and I were talking about this and I wanted to do a study on it

    So, are you still with your first child's father?

    I reckon its a minority but DH thinks most people are.

    No, I saw sense and left when DS was ~1 yo.

    I don't think either you or your DH are wrong - aren't the divorce rates almost at 50%?

    I'm not sure how much of a broad range of society you'll get here, most parents here have very young babies/children so would not yet have split from their partner if it's inevitible.

    That's divorce rates alone, what about those who weren't ever married, or even a couple? I think that could sway the % drastically.
