Default How old was your LO when...

you dared take a shower when they weren't either taking a nap, under someone else's care or secure in a high chair or playpen??

DD is 16 1/2 months and I still bring her into the bathroom with me when I'm showering if DP isn't home to keep her occupied. She doesn't sit in a highchair anymore so she will either bring her breakfast into the bathroom and sit on the floor to eat it while I shower or she'll play with her bath toys and pop her head around the shower curtain playing peek-a-boo

I usually just take my baby into the bathroom with me in her bouncer and she laughs at the steam..

With my 2yo, probably about 16 months. But then that was a quick lather, rinse, get the heck out kind of shower. She's not a destructive toddler though and is happy to potter about and i can hear her 99% of the time as she just loves to sing at the top of her lungs and when she stops i know shes in to something.

I have been known to streak around the house sopping wet just to double check she's okay before climbing back in to rinse off.

Probably 2ish as well. When I could trust that she could be left alone for 15 minutes. I'd just put the tv on.

Same as most of the others. After the age of 2 I felt more comfortable leaving them on their own to have a shower.

About 2.5yrs. I would make sure something he loved was on TV, he was surrounded by toys, had a drink handy and be as quick as I could. He always found me if he needed anything.

I'd put him on his playmat or pram outside our ensuite and shower. There is no way I was going to wait until DH got home so I could shower lol!!

Anyways, once he could be put in his walker at about 6 months I would just let him have a run in that and nip into the shower. DS1 is nearly 4 but he always tells me if he vomits or has a booger haha so he would wheel him to the bathroom and I'd clean his nose etc...

I think you get really quick at having showers once you have kids.

Not sure really because we shower toether to save water. 2 of us in together is always better for the environment then both of us in the shower at different times. It's not always that way. I'll want a shower sometimes after work while she wants to finish her homework so I'll have my shower then she has hers later in the evening. Not sure about the trust thing though.

DD is 15 mths and I am happy to leave her in the lounge room while I am showering. I have probably been doing it since 12mths. It only works first thing in the morning as she wants to play with her toys!! I have about 15 mins before she gets bored. Our lounge is pretty baby proof and DD isn't one to get into too much mischief most of the time
