I'd be interested Lucasmumma, to see how you go with SIVF. I am seeing Tween Low there and I find her really lovely. We're likely moving to IVF because my partner has a very low sperm count (i originally went to her for mild PCOS). She seems very thorough and professional. I've checked out all the fee's and SIVF do seem very expensive straight up (looks like around 10k for the first cycle and freezing) but I think you prob aren't out of pocket much more than other clinics. They do seem to have very good success rates.

    Good luck with your cycle

Thanks clementine! I had my app with Simone this week and she is lovely! We are going next week to discuss the options she gave me and if we want to start then, we can jump on as soon as AF arrives!! So obviously you are a canberran too? Well I don't live there I just travel. Yeah I think it works out about $1000 out of pocket more than cfc. Can you tell me if the fees have included your meds?!

Hi lucasmamma, i’ve only had 2 appointments with SIVF so i’m not really sure of the exact costs. I’d say it probably doesn’t include meds? We’re waiting for a retest and if my partners count is not significantly improved, she said we could start the ivf in October/November. We’re hoping it might increase but it was mega low (1.8) so there is little chance it will and we’ll end up doing the ivf.

Everyone is different, but I do hear a lot of good stuff about SIVF, i have heard of quite a few people that have switched to them. They are pretty expensive, so I guess if you had to do lots of cycles, it would get quite pricy. Hopefully you get your BFP first round J

Thanks Clementine! I actually emailed them and yes your meds are included if you have Medicare and if Medicare covered what med you need if that makes sense.
I've just had my first app with my specialist and one more next week and all being well we can jump on the train when my next period arrives so aboutb2 weeks.... Had a **** load of blood work done so hoping all that comes back normal!!!

Good luck to you guys as well

Did you get a retest sperm count? we are waiting for that now. I have heard that can be inaccurate, but we're thinking if it was very low, there isn't much chance of it increasing a lot in 2 months.

Thats great that all the meds are included. We have full private health insurance, but i dont think that will end up covering much.

    Default cfc

    HI there

I did ICSI in 2009 at CFC , I found them great , the nurses were so caring . I found it a friendly professional enviroment. My specialist is DR Armellin and we will be going back next year to try for another bub. I havent been to sydney ivf , but did notice that they are more expensive . I guess everyones experiences are different
