Generally speaking, public hospitals would rather repeat sections over VBAC's.

Unless there are other factors they should let you go with whatever you prefer, I had my 2nd in a public hospital after a cs and they were happy for it to be my choice, I opted for a VBAC but after going 2 weeks over I ended up with another cs, but it was all my choice.

Choice, complications, list is endless. No two preg are the same, same goes for deliveries.

I had a c-section with DD 2.5 years ago and I'm currently 12 weeks pregnant with #2. My Dr has told me that it will be my choice whether to have another c-section or try for a VBAC. I was worried that if I decided I wanted an elective c-section this time that I would have to try to prove myself or something but my Dr said that all I have to do is tell them if that's what I decide.

For those who chose CS in public hospital after an emmergency CS did you have to pay for it considering it was your choice? I'm worried if I go again I'm gunna be out of pocket heaps.

One of my friends had her second baby via elective C-section in the public system, however they would not do it until bub's due date - as it was bub decided to come a few days early, she went into labour on her own (on Boxing Day), bub was born at 9.04pm, and was classed as 'emergency' and my friend did not have to pay a thing! Not sure if all public hospitals have this policy. Food luck!
