    Good morning!

Running with scissors-welcome! Patience is not my strong point either! They can give us a sniff, a jab or a pill for everything else...shame they havent come up with a recipe to assist with the waiting game. Hang in there it will be your turn before you know it.

Hello to everyone else. I hope that where ever you all are at everything is going well. How does everyone else manage to do such great personals? I am hopeless and when I do finally finish bh seems to erase the lot...probably cos it has taken me so long!!

AFM...still waiting or AF. Should be here around the 9th of Sept if having the lap hasnt completely upset my cycle. Time will tell. Still trying to eat well and get in some exercise. How hard is it though...? Oh well dieting gives me something else to think about! From one obsession to another LOL!

    Have a great day xoxo

    Thanks Spud and Bronte

Bronte your AF is due the same day as mine! Whats happening for you once she arrives?

I'm beginning to get nervous about injecting puregon! The bravado from the excitement of finally doing something has gone missing

Has anyone else found it tricky? Does it go in your bum or tummy? We talked baout so many medications that they are all scrambled in my brain!

RunningWithScissors- If you're impatient now, the TWW is going to be murder for you! We are always waiting for something in this game. You can inject the puregon into any area with the most fat under the skin- upper thighs, butt cheeks, lower tummy are the most common injection sites. I usually do the puregon (or Gonal F in my case) in the tummy and then all others in my upper thigh (inner side, about 7cm below my bikini line).

Bronte- When I type up my personals, I highlight all and click 'copy', then I hit submit reply. If my log-in has timed out, I log back in and if BH is behaving, the reply goes through on its own. If not, I go back into the thread, hit the reply button then paste the text. Saves alot of frustration from losing posts! Left to my own devices my exercise is terrible, thats why I joined a training group with a personal trainer. For $10 a class its great value and I actually look forward to going.

Spud- yay for AF showing up! I wonder if you'll be first in our thread to reach PUPO stage. My weekend was spent visiting friends on Sat and weeding in the backyard on Sun. I'd much rather go shopping!

Pippi- what a great sport you are to organise a baby shower! Going to baby showers is bad enough, let alone planning one that isn't yours. I hope it was fun and that you're feeling better.

Puffsgirl- Yoga & pilates sounds great! Any sign of AF yet? Incase theres not, heres an AF dance for you .

Forever & Wifemommyme- I hope your team effort is cruising along in perfect order! We've been getting reports of Hurricane Irene over here and its unbelievable how big she is. Glad you're both far from her path.

AFM- Things are slightly better on the DH front. I sent him an email last Thurs and we spoke that night. We're keeping some distance between us though, and being 'just friends' for now. I went and saw a counsellor yesterday by myself. Next step is to get him to join me. Not sure if he'll agree to it though, he flat out refused when we had our chat and thinks its a waste of time. Hopefully I can convince him otherwise.

    Thanks lindylou!

Ive got plenty of fat in my tummy and thunder thighs so I'll breeze through

I hope DH comes with you to counselling. Shame you can't beat them with a shoe sometimes eh? DH whizzed me off this morning and I entertained the idea of throwing the coffee table at him I might have if it wasn't so darn heavy!

    Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if I could join your group.

My husband and I are due to start our first full cycle with donor sperm of ivf in a few weeks time with egg retrieval on the 28th September. We have had a bit of a rough trot of late as I will mention a little below.

After much waiting we decided to have a baby in May of 2010. Off we go to the doctor together to get bloods checked and all sorts of lovely things. We got the go ahead for me to come off the pill and start trying for a baby. We both thought it would be easy and pregnant within a few months ready to tell everyone at x-mas. How wrong we were.... i stated getting regular ish periods every 30 - 31 days for a few months. Then my period went missing for 70+ days and all negative pregnant tests.. what the .... off I went to the doctor in October got bloods done and it turns out I have PCOS. My GP said this is very common and she referred me to a fertility specialist at QFG. As it was so close to x-mas i could not get a appointment till February 2011. As we had a wait i done a lot of research and decided the doctor would put me on clomid and all would be good. So a few weeks before the appointment DH went for sperm test ready for the appointment. We turned up for first appointment and spoke to doctor it was all exciting to get moving. Then he said DH came back with ZERO sperm. We done a re test and again came back ZERO. Doctor said this not hugely common but all DH bloods suggested he's making sperm and may be blocked as it's not making it's way out. DH was then booked in for a TESA again very excited and we would freeze all sperm they found. On the day of the TESA specialist came to see me and said they found ZERO sperm again.... lets say I lost it all together. We were then referred to Dr Derek Lok at Sydney IVF to preform a open biopsy. It was suggested again they they should find some sperm as everything looked normal and they may be hiding. I went through the whole IVF thing and got 12 eggs. It was suggested to do this so if they found a few sperm they can do ICSI on my eggs. Sadly the biopsy found ZERO sperm. I must say Dr Lok was the most lovely caring specialist I have ever dealt with. With my eggs they froze them as we had no sperm.

The past 16 months have been a long and hard road at times but only made our connection stronger.

We are now back with our specialist at QFG and have decided to use donor sperm.

We have gone through counselling and chose our donor last week. QFG are getting my frozen eggs from SIVF to use. We are also going to do a fresh cycle and retrieve more eggs as it was advised eggs do not defrost very well with modern technology.

I look forward to sharing the journey with each of you lovely ladies.

    Take Care.

    Hey all,
Sorry I've been MIA for a million years but after the m/c and my super brief trip to England, it's all been a bit too hard.

Been off bh and haven't had chance to catch up with everyone so no personals tonight.

Well I'm in limbo land frustration! I had my bloods done the day before we flew (aug 1) and hcg was about 5. They told me to expect AF within 2 weeks and if not, to come in fir a BT. 6 days later, DH and I DTD and for 5 days I have day 1 AF type brown blood when wiping. Then I get EWCM which confuses me - why would I O right after AF. So when we get back I book for a BT only for full on AF to turn up the night before, 2 weeks after the brown blood. Anyway, clinic phoned with results and ask "do you have your period? Yes? We'll see you in 20 days then". Aaaaarrrgggghhh 20 days before I can even start thinking about lucrin.

I really should be using this time wisely by losing some weight, getting stuck into the physio, and having some laser hair removal done (TMI?) but instead I'm sitting on my *** and feeling sick because I just ate a piece of brownie I made to take to work tomorrow!

    Motivation, where art thou???

    Hope everyone is well
