Hi ladies!!

Been so long since Ive been on BH! Between the mad Christmas rush, DS graduating primary school (Oh the tears!) and his basketball finals and break ups, I've been diagnosed with Pelvic Instability which is making everything hard! Bub is totally fine, its just my mid-30s body that is failing me! But more about me later!

Lola- Im sorry this one wasn't the Christmas wish you had hoped for, but Im so excited you have some frosties in the freezer!

Chic - sorry you had a scare! We could only see a little sac that early too...but still was the cutest sac I ever saw Fingers crossed you see that elusive little bean complete with heartbeat today! I was 7+1 before we saw ours!

Angela - How are you travelling in the TWW? I don't think I will ever fondly remember that time Good to hear you got 4 frosties!

Spud - sorry to hear the thaw process failed Good luck with the antagonist cycle.. I know nothing about that though so can't offer you anything but the best of luck!

Forever - and sorry to hear about your Mum, praying all is fine for her and she can enjoy Christmas!

AFM - Where to start! This pregnancy doesn't seem to agree with me at all
Aside from all my bad blood results, I definitely have pelvic instability....and severe at that! GAH! Weekly visits to the physio at this stage, and PHI only covers about $22 of the $70 fee as is specialised physio and we are only covered for basic. I had no idea there was a difference
I must ice my pubic bone for 20 minutes every 2 hours, I have a sacro-belt that I must wear all the time, and if I leave the house it has to be on crutches! Im not supposed to put any pressure on the pelvis at all.... mmmmhhmm! Thats working with Christmas shopping to be done, us hosting lunch on the day, DD is in the school/parish Choir which requires her to sing at school and church events over Christmas, plus the school holidays! Oh and I offered to have DS's best friend for the holidays while his parents are at work, and the 2 boys are going to different high schools next year so I thought it would be nice for them to have this time together. I've had to keep promises I made to the kids too..like taking them to see Reece Mastin at the local shopping center, I just couldn't let them miss out! Did I mention no heavy housework like hanging washing, vaccing , mopping, sweeping....

I can laugh about it though...as much as it hurts, I have energy, MS is all but gone and even if I do vomit, its only once every couple of days and Im feeling great otherwise. Bub is healthy, I listen to him (yep, still convinced its a boy!) every day with the doppler
5 weeks until we find out the sex and reach the magical 20 week mark.
I'm still in wonder that we are actually here.... After 2 years of heartache/hell, somedays it still doesn't feel real!

lola, when is your BT scheduled for? it seems like just yesterday that you had your transfer! I'm sorry to hear about the bleeding. You should call your FS. are you on any progesterone support?

My scan today went very well, we saw a little flutter of a heartbeat, it was amazing! FS is pleased with everything but still want me on complete bed rest, and has added antibiotics to my meds ( not sure how it helps in preventing m/c but apparently it does in some way). seeing him again next thursday...

Lola - so sorry hun, thinking of you and sending big big im so sad u didn't get ur xmas wish and hope u get your new years resolutation (which is mine - to get preg and have a baby!).

RWS - oh boy u have have a tough time, that sounds really painful and a pain in the bum but so glad bub is ok and ur still have ur humour!

Forever - thinking of u and ur mum and hope her surgery went well, i know she will be ok as she has an angel daughter looking after her. xx

Chic - yay!! So glad scan went well and everything is as it should be, now to get on and enjoy the next 8mths!

AFM - nothing to report, started the pill, have an appointment on 3rd to get all my drugs and scan on 27th with hope that EPU and transfer will be the next week. Am going to demand he put 2 in, what are my chances??!!

Hi RWS, Well we're at nearly 25 weeks now and Mrs Ken still going well. The first trimester was pretty much all about the vomit. She got superhuman ability to smell anything unpleasant! But that's faded now and the main concern is back pain and keeping healthy. The NT scan gave us a Downs risk of 1:204 based almost entirely on the measurement of 2.85. We talked it over and decided we'll take our chances after so long trying and not risk the Amnio or that other test. A friend who is at week 15 now got a risk of 1:44 come back based mostly on the bloods. Her Obstetrician (same as ours) insisted they do the placenta blood test but the test was a **** up and now they have to wait on an amnio. Our last ultrasound was on Monday and they saw the heart normal, the face looking normal. What will be, will be. Good luck ladies and I agree with the Scissor Sprinter, an update would be nice.

We did our first ever FET on Monday so I'm currently 4 days in to the TWW and trying in vain not to interpret everything as a pregnancy symptom! I'm on prog pessaries so it's even more tricky. Just hope this is the one as I'm 12 days from what should have been my due date

Thanks for checking up on us RWS . I know you've had a rough trot with your pregnancy, hope you manage OK til bub arrives safely in June.

We did a fresh cycle in Jan and this time had our embryos genetically screened with a PGD technique called array CGH. This checks all 23 chromosome pairs plus the sex chromosomes. The end result is that we have 2 'normal' embryos, which are currently in the freezer. I'm doing FET next month and hoping that we finally get our sticky BFP

Would also love an update on the rest of the you! Especially our OP, Forever.

Mr Ken - Glad to hear Mrs Ken is travelling ok aside from the back pain (totally symapthise!). Its a little unnerving getting low DS scores, but I like to think you have a 203 in 204 chance of a healthy little bubble! Mine was low based on age and jumped a little based on out NT. Still doesn't erase the thought though, but all scans have looked great, my biggest concern was holes in the heart as my cousins DS (he has tri21) had 7!

Lola - fingers crossed for you! I hope the TWW goes fast (although I know it doesn't! ) and you get that positive result!

Lindy - Glad you got some good embies..did they tell you the sex of them? I'll have everything crossed for you next month!

AFM - Bubs is a little girl, total suprise, I was so positive she would be a boy I bought 'him' a going home outfit She is healthy, and extremely active, doesn't ever stop!
Ive got spd/pi which is starting to get pretty bad, Im having trouble sleeping because I cant stay in one spot too long and it really hurts to move , but my MS is all but gone..I still have the odd morning vomit here and there but I dont care because its just one and after it Im fine.

I still have my "wow" moments... as in, wow it really worked..its really happening.

RWS- congrats on your little pink bundle! Yes we know the sex of our embies, one of each . But we won't know which is transferred first, so we can still opt for a surprise if we want. Just knowing that we can produce genetically viable embryos has been a huge relief and has restored my hope that IVF will work for us.

Lola77 – Congratulations on PUPO... Have my fingers crossed this is a big positive for you. How hard is not to interpret evey symptom.

Lindylou78 – What a great result getting ready for FET next month. Really hope you get a BFP. Its just amazing they can tell the sex. How lucky are we to have such wonderful technology.

AFM – Well all booked if for a fresh egg pick up on the 14th March. At the moment just working on my weight loss journey and exercising lots ready for next cycle.
DH and I are crossing all our fingers we get a BFP in March.
