Seen season 1. My DH is in love with the books. And well I have put off reading the books. But after seeing season 1, tempted to do it now.
My DH wanted us to use the name Arya. Now I know where the name comes from.

Yes I love the show! I've only watched 2 episodes but for a fantasy tragic like me, I'm in 7th heaven.

I wasn't planning on getting the books, but if you all recommend reading the books as well as watching the show..... ohh ok then

    Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?! Bullsh!t!! That sucks!
I got bored and googled who would be cast in Season 2 and Im excited to see Natalie Dormer will be in it. She is the chick that played Ann Boleyn in The Tudors. Love her. Shes so pretty.
I also, accidentally read what happens on one of the character....oops.

DP said they probably used higher paid, recognizable actors to get interest in the show in the beginning.

I think what has actually drawn attention to the show (not just the actors) is the fact, the actual author of the books, is heavily involved in the making of this series. So any fans of the books will not dismiss the series straight away. And most of the actor choices were made by the Author himself.

My DH is struggling with the latest book. He says it's mainly because he has waited 6yrs for it's release, and now he has it, he is kind of 'it can wait' lol

I'm tempted to get the books, but it would be really naughty as I am only meant to be reading medical textbooks at the moment. I so love this show, it is so brilliant. And George R R Martin (is that his name) died falling off a cliff in New Zealand (news' report, not real)....you know when you are dying on the slopes in NZ, you have truly become famous.
