Default When did you deliver your muliples?

    Hi ladies,

Just curious as I'm 23 weeks and can't imagine getting to 40 weeks with these two, i feel so full of fluid and baby everyday tasks are getting to be a real challenge.

    Q.
When did you deliver your babies?

    Q.
What method of delivery did you have?

My OB said she wouldn't even consider taking these two out before 38 weeks.. I'd love to try for a natural birth, but can't imagine going "full term" - the strain on my body already is pretty full on

    Hey!
Just remember every pregnancy and birth is different....

... with mine I got to 39w+1 [I had to be induced so I could get my vaginal delivery]
Mine were delievred vaginally, I had an epi put in about 2 minutes before DD was born and DS2 was born 17 minutes later.

(the epi was part of a 'deal' from the visiting OB - 'just incase')

Best of luck with the rest of your pregnancy - big congrats!! ENJOY!!! ...and if people offer help/assistance once your little ones are here - take it

I made it to 37 +3 , I was booked in for a c-section at 38 + 3 but my waters broke and my girls decided to make their appearance a week early. I was pretty desperate at that stage to have them out as I was in so much pain. In retrospect I wish I could have kept them in a little longer as they were small and in the SCN for 10 days. I ended up having an emergency c section but only classed as emergency due to it being at 1am. I could have waited until the morning but for whatever reason the second ob was happy to come back in and assist.

My boys were born at 38 + 2, I was supposed to be induced at 39 weeks but they wanted to get out before then.
They were born vaginally (with an epi) 35 minutes apart.

    Thanks for all your stories!

For those that had VB - were both your babies head down or did 1 have to be turned?

I went to 37 + 2 and had an elective c-section because my Twin A was breech and my Twin B was head down. They were belly to belly meaning that I had "lockable" twins where their jaws would lock together if I had a vbirth.

I spent 5 of the last 8 weeks in hospital, I had labour stopped twice at 29 and 33 weeks, 2 hemorrages and also ended up with Preg induced hypertension at 35 weeks so they decided to evict them once I reached 37 weeks (37 weeks on the dot by the hospital due date, 37 + 2 by my dates!) If I hadnt of had the hypertension problems they werent even going to give my a date until I reached 38 weeks so I would of gone somewhere between 38 and 39 weeks.

It was painful and I was massive, measuring 47 weeks pregnant at 36 weeks. Its amazing, just when you think your body cant take anymore, your belly just keeps on growing!

I had identical twins with one placenta and one sac so my dr wasn't letting me go over 37weeks. My kidneys and liver started shutting down at 36wks weeks and my water broke at 36wks 5days. They were born c/s for personal and medical reasons. I had no problems with them being born 'early' .. No extended stay etc. Twin1 was in scn for 48hrs but otherwise everything was fine and their growth/development has always been ahead of 'the norm'

Yes my boys were both head down, but my doctor was happy for me to go with a vaginal birth early on as long as Twin A was head down.
