I love this blog for positive natural birth stories:

    http://birthwithoutfearblog.com

I also recommend the DVD "Orgasmic Birth" and the book "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth" by Ina May Gaskin.

Keep positive! I know how you feel, I'm planning a natural homebirth for my first and I'm so anxious to have the birth I want... I love positive birth stories!!!

I have given birth Naturally twice now, no drugs with either

Even knowing what is to come I wouldn't choose to have a c-section unless it was for mine or the babies health. Its so worth it and such an amazing moment.

I had no warning to when I was going into Labour, and it just happened. I was early with both my children

Good Luck with the birth of your baby!!!

I'm planning to homebirth in future, so any baby that comes out of my baby will come out drug-free from my vagina in my home... which is pretty much as natural as you can get. The only way things will go otherwise is if there's a desperate need for it to go otherwise...

If you mean "natural" and in vaginal, then plenty of women have them. If you mean natural as in, no intervention/drugs and vaginal, then there are a lot less women having babies this way these days.

Default Does anyone give birth 'naturally' anymore??

I've had 3 vaginal births, 2 were completely natural and over too quick- DD2 was 2 hours from first contraction to birth, DD3 was 30 minutes first contraction to birth.

Birth is natural, therefore, every birth is a natural birth IMO

Also this is a very old thread

I am the only one to have a vaginal birth in my mothers group and I find it weird that the vaginal birth lady is the odd one out.

My baby was meant to be huge and they started throwing around the c word from 20 weeks. I hated it. In the end he was 9 days overdue and I was due to induced 2 days later but he came naturally.

I had an epidural because there was a chance I would have to have an emergency c section but thankfully not.

TBH I have changed my mind on epidurals, I used to be against them but after having 13 hours of back labour (I was unsure if I was even in labour at first because I felt nothing in the front) I was ready for it.

Each to their own but I think elective c sections because you dont want to give birth should be banned.

I have had 2 vaginal births one with drugs and one without. I know many having c-sections these days but I still find vaginal birth the most common.

First of all if you go overdue they tend to try and induce you first and will only give a C section if things aren't looking good for baby or mum and they have to get bub out ASAP or if they baby can't get out for some reason (e.g. with mine bub was getting stuck on pubic bone and heart rate dropping every time I pushed so ended in a c-sect).

To be honest it was heaps scary for me but it was heaps better than I thought it would be. Try not to stress too much and go with the flow as much as you can. Its not like they go "Oh you're 40 weeks let's do a c-section". A c-section is usually the last resort. They try other methods first.
