It's funny how we all become superstitious and believe in all sorts of alternative stuff through all these. I have a small bag of talisman that I bring to every EPU and ET. There's a moonstone, a jade horse, a jade lion and a tiki, in a tibetian fertility bag.

felicita - awwww that was such a sweet offer you made to Star and I am glad to see she accepted in the end. That is just lovely. I am hard but things like this make me all soft. Let me re-phrase, I act all hard, but I am one emotional girl!!As Star said, this may be the start of something. This Rose Quartz could become an heirloom of this thread!!!

haydos - you can have my ticket and go to NY instead of me. Only reason being I just tried to pack and even though I have a million items of clothing and shoes, I have nothing suitable for 9 degree temperatures. Anyway, I am soprry to hear about your fur baby. It breaks my heart as I know how it feels to feel so sad about a pet. I am a HUGE animal lover and HATE to hear about animals hurting. I wish your little one all the best.

Greenmum, Congrats on being PUPO!! Great result for you and DP

Rice, 4 normal embies from CGH is fantastic, you have a VERY high chance of a successful pregnancy resulting

Haydos, no words, just more for your furbaby

Marzi, was so delighted to read the news on your amnio results after an anxious wait. Really wonderful and I'm gonna go team ....

Jamison, thanks, but unfortunately there's no magic wand for the sad/challenging times for any of us but the sentiment is appreciated. Can only take some time to look after me and prepare to take the next leap of faith. But I'm definitely putting my hand up, I will go to NY for you!!!! Or better still with you for some shoe shopping!

    and to everyone else

star - you are welcome to come shopping for shoes with me anytime you want. I know there is no stone or superstition to make this work and sometimes I just wanna give up but I try and hang onto something. I know you are not yourself and if you live in Sydney, I welcome the chance to take you shoe shopping (Your DH will hate me though).

Sorry everyone still not on the laptop. I have been reading along.
Well first I would live to thank DH for doing such a wonderful job cleaning the car out BUT the umbrella comes in handy when it's raining in Brissy. BT went well I just have a question FS wants to defrost all 5 embies to blastie stage I have never done this what questions should I ask for this should I have any concerns I'm just so confused/freaked out. Does it increase chances? Help

    Hi Luvabug,

We went through that two times ago... we had 10 frozen and they ended up defrosting 8 to try and get 4 good quality embies to grow to blasty. It scared the living s*it out of me too. They will only do it if you have four or more frozen as only 40% make it to blasty (apparently).

The idea is that the best one makes it through therefore giving you the best chance of falling pregnant with that one. Rather than wasting time having numberous FET's with emby's that wont make it to blasty anyway.

We haven't been in the position again to do it. I was never comfortable with it but FS thought it was the best chance we had.

I know it's not very comforting, I'm sorry, I get the reasoning behind it but it was horrifying losing so many in the process.

    Good luck

Just quick vent... I've been bleeding for four days now... like a light AF with cramping and pain.

I called the clinic and had a blood test today and they've doubled my progesterone dosage and told me it MAY or MAY NOT have an influence.

I'm 11dpo.... isn't it all a little too late? I'm devestated, I feel like two perfect little embies have been wasted because my insides haven't cooperated with the medication.

Hi Ladies (warning: me post -sorry)

Thanks for the support (again) unfortunately it's BFN. Feeling very hopeless
AF showed today 11dp5dt. Have had BT, waiting on call & will try & arrange natural FET.

Our fs doesn't believe immunity/nk call testing he kept saying implantation failure is due to embryo quality (despite ours almost always being best quality possible). Now we've done PGD to prove their 'normal' but still no luck. I realize it's a bit of a 'numbers game'...but 16 embies is giving it a pretty good go

Also asked abt aspirin - he said it doesn't make a differnce but won't hurt, so I'll put myself on it for next time.

    Happy hump day xx

Rice - I'm sorry to hear of your BFN . If you have had PGD testing you would think that it wouldn't be a quality issue???? My FS isn't into natural killers cells either so I contacted another specialist in Sydney who is happy for me to come across and get the test done there. He even emailed me personally (faints). Maybe you could do something like that if you think NK cells might be your problem or at least want to rule that possibility out.

Green - What progesterone dose were you initially on and what type? At my old clinic I was on pessaries and always bled early - new clinic have me on lots of crinone and for the first time ever my progesterone was normal and I made it to BT day before AF. I was told crinone is better than pessaries - it sure is less disgusting!

Try to keep positive Green (easier said than done) you don't know yet what's going to happen . I will have everything crossed for you.

Jamison - I totally can relate to not wanting to go through the whole process again. That's I feel. I hope your have fun in NY

AFM - Just a quick question re: aspirin. Is it baby aspirin you take or normal aspirin and how much do you take?
