I ended up in hospital with an irregular heartbeat, twice.

I was quickly taken off of it (similar things have happened with other SSRI antidepressants) and can't take any SSRI as it's too dangerous - only take tricyclic antidepressents now. A good friend of mine says Lexapro changed her life for the better though

    Good luck.
Sometimes I'd buy Vogue instead of dinner. I just felt it fed me more.

I was on it for a few years, I didn't experience any side effects and it really helped my depression

I have been on 20mg Lexapro daily for the last 2.5 years, I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and don't think I could've got this far without it, really has helped me with my previously crippling depression and anxiety
    GOODLUCK!

I wasn't on it for long (I got pg)..but I felt quite a bit better in a shorter amount of time than say Zoloft or Prozac.
Had no weight gain, but increased appetite. I think that worked out because I was more motivated and able to workout and stick with it.

    Good luck!!
