Default Help! Vitamin B6 - delayed ovulation, no AF and BFN.

    Hi ladies.

Had a miscarriage nearly 6 months ago and since then my cycles have gone from regular as clockwork (28 days ovulate day 14) to 26 days with a 10-11 day luteal phase.

On day 3 this month I decided to try taking vitamin B6 to prolong my luteal phase. Initially took the Blackmore's version (as well as the Blackmore's preconception vitamins which have 50mg - I've been taking this for ages to no effect) but stopped when I found out it had way more vit B6 than recommended (190mg!). Started taking 100mg plus my preconception vits (total 150mg) then halved this as I still wondered if it was too much.

Well, I think I've cocked my cycle up completely now. I ovulated late (day 18) and AF still hasn't arrived on day 32. I've done 3 preg tests - all BFN. Needless to say this has freaked me out a little and I've stopped the extra B6.

    Anyone experienced anything similar?

    Hi Pommylady,
    What an interesting post!
Did you work out whether it was the B6 that effected your cycle?

    Hi kipdoula

Yep convinced it was the b6. AF did finally arrive. Cut the b6 down to 50mg, cycle sorted itself out and don't know if this helped but pleased to report I'm now 16 weeks pregnant!
