Any Really good Ob/Gyn at Flinders Private?

Hi Ladies,

We are very recently pregnany with bub number 1 and are trying to decide between Flinders Private and Ashford for the birth.

I am finding that many of the really good OB/GYN are all based at Ashford and not sure if they deliver at Flinders Private aswell?

Would love to know if anyone has any advice!

I can recommend some great OB's for you, (Linda McKendrick @ Ashford or Elinor Atkinson at FPH) but can i just say though, in my opinion (and I have worked at both) that the level of care is far superior if you go public. Honestly the postnatal care is incredibly different and WAY more thorough in the public system. If you are choosing private for the 'luxury' factor then honestly, save your money and spend it on a week (or 3) at a hotel instead. Just my opinion though.

I had Elinor Atkinson as my OB/GYN at Flinders Private and I would definitely recommend her. I felt very comfortable with her.
