Hi ladies, looks like it has been a while since anyone posted on here. I'm almost 36 and expecting my 2nd (and maybe 3rd if it's twins) on 29th August 2012. I have lived in Wollongong for 7 years now. What Ob are you all going with or are you going public hospital? Does anyone know of any great pediatricians in Wollongong area? My other kids are DD 15, DSD 14, DSD 10 and DSS 8. I live in west Wollongong

Hi I'm kim and my DS is 1 year old, we are currently TTC our second. I went through Dr Davis, but I went through Figtree private hospital. I had Dr Goodhew as our peadiatrician and he is on Sperry street near wollongong hospital, although I just go to our GP when DS is sick.

    Good luck through your pregnancy

Thanks Kim for that info. What was Dr Davis like? What did you think of Figtree Private? I'm with Dr Greening and he prefers Figtree unless there are obvious complications, then he'll make me go to Wollongong. I'm only just 7 weeks now and have my dating scan 16th Jan. So nervous, I just want to see a heartbeat (or two). I'm thinking im gonna have twins..there have been too many signs around me with "twins" in it. I have no MS, hardly any symptoms actually, just sore boobs and peeing a lot...

Dr Davis is great! He was great when we lost my sons heartbeat and I went into have an emergency c-section. I had no ms and hardly any symptoms with my son so you could be having a boy.

I had Dr Greening with my first. He was wonderful! I recommend him to everyone I know looking for an OB- which may be part of the reason he is so hard to get into lol

Hi Missy Mack - yeah he is hard to get into see. I called as soon as i found out I was pregnant (did IVF through dr greening) and told them i was due august, and they only had one place left!!! I grabbed it right away! Did you go to Wollongong or Figtree to give birth? Did dr make it?

Kim- dr Davis was my second option if greening was booked out. My hubby keeps calling bubs a boy too! Lol I just remind him it could be a girl OR that we could be having one of each!! I'm not gonna find out, will wait till bubs makes an entrance.

I had my first at Wollongong as the chances of a natural birth at Wollongong are considerably higher than at Figtree (even with the same OB!) Unfortunately I had a emergency CS due to complications and was lucky that Dr Greening was in Wollongong at that exact time to perform it. Last time I used a private midwife as I had a much healthier pregnancy (I had PE with my first). Totally different experiences with totally different needs. I have always said that I wish I could birth at Wollongong and recover at Figtree The only thing I dislike about Greening is that he has Walton as his cover for holidays. Walton is a little too interventional and CS happy for my liking

Naebie- I will pm you when I get back home. I'm in qld at the moment on holiday. Freaking the hell out up here coz got a phone call from dr and my hcg levels are taking too long to double... So upset right now. Hopefully all is ok, I will find out on the 16th when I have my viability scan. The wait is killing me.
