    Default Storing stuffed toys???

    Hi,
How does everyone store their LOs stuffed toys??
DD has so many stuffed toys and I don't no what to do with them all. SIL loves stuffed toys so she is always buying them for DD.
Everything I have found screws into the roof and we are renting so we can do that.
DD is only 13mths and I can not believe how many stuffed toys she has.

Sorry I'm a party pooper when it comes to stuffed toys. My advice- get rid of them! They do nothing but harbor dust and dust mites, triggering allergies and breathing difficulties.
My 2 eldest have only very very mild (suspected) asthma, and doctors advice was to get rid of stuffed toys.
I think they're horrid little things after finding out how many creepy crawlies can live in them.

    Sorry LOL.

agree with PP. I have actually had to tell MIL if she buys any more toys for DS they are going straight to the op shop, we just don't have room. Sure it's nice for them but they don't have to live with the clutter and chaos!

I'm the same, but mainly because they are such a waste of space. I'd rather my kids had toys they play with, and a few special soft toys, rather than lots
as for storing them, its very difficult
I have a few special ones from each of my kids and the rest have gone to the op shop

I reluctantly gave mine to the op shop too. He had too many and some were HUGE. I have a couple of sentimental teddies in one of those vacuum space bags along with a couple from my childhood. DS has 4 on his bed that are his favourites and thats it. I wash them every week.

following the trend lol, we gave about six giant garbage bags full of stuffed toys to the salvos, they seem to grow and multiply out of no where if you don't watch them closely

The ones we do have left are in a plastic storage bin (each child has one) and if you can't fit them in there then some have to go, you get a new one chuck an old one etc

All 3 of ours had heaps of them. I just picked out a few to keep and gave what was left of the girls away and what was left of DSS's to his mum.
The girls have a couple on their bed and the others are in a plastic tube.

I'm another one that throws them out/donates to op shops, unless they are reeeeealllly sentimental ones.
We don't have many keepers, but the ones they dont cuddle with in bed, have been stored in those vacuum seal bags

We don't have heaps because my kids don't really like them. I was crazy about them as a kid, and my bedroom was quite literally FULL of stuffed toys, so now I have gone in the opposite direction and can't stand clutter.

However, my girls do have one of those little blanket boxes at the end of their beds and I throw the few that we do have in there. I think I bought the baskets for about $30 or something from a cheap shop. They are white and lined with a hinged lid. Much prettier than piles of toys.

I did a cull, sent some to op shop, others in a plastic container in shed, others stored in a toy box.

I found it really hard to get rid of ones people had given as gifts, hence why some live in the shed but naturally I'm a neat freak so copious amounts of stuffed toys does not work in my house!!

I remember going to a fair when I was about 6 and coming home with a garbage bag full of old stuffed toys for about 20c! I think most ended up in the charity bin, mum freaked out and now I understand why!!

As a rule I never give them as a gift!
