    Default DHEA success

    Hi there,
Has anyone had success with DHEA. I have just completed my 6th cycle, After taking DHEA for three months. I only got two eggs with MOS and one did not progress. I had my 3 day transfer on Friday and my FS said that thelone embi had started to compact which was very good. Im hoping this little egg is better quality than all the rest as I am in the category for early menopause at 38 .... and loosing heart. I know I need to be positive and am starting to get the sore boobs etc but am putting that down to the Progesterone support.
Can anyone out there give me some positive feedback on DHEA???

Hi! I am been put on DHEA to try improve egg quality but...

I have been taking DHEA for about a week. Is anyone else on it??

Because I feel A-MAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After all the drugs I have had the last 12 mths. This is the only thing that makes me feel brilliant. I feel motivated, feminine, tonnes of energy and excuse for the too much info... but I have a sex drive back!!!! Its great!

We obviously dont know if its worked yet but it feels good!

    Hi GStef
Have you found any other threads on dhea?
Lots of yanky ones and info to read but cant find much aussie forums for feedback and discussion on it.
I secretly wondering if my extreme high hormones and feb cyst is from it.
No other side effects. Felt great last 2 1/2 months. Are you on melatonin as well?

I've been taking DHEA and Testosterone Gel for two weeks now. No negative side effects but haven't noticed anything positive either (DH was hoping it'd give me a sex drive, but to no avail yet!). Hoping that both drugs combined with Saizen in my next stim in three months will finally get me some decent eggs...

Saizen? This is the injection option similar to dhea? FS has mention an $300 injection... is that it?

Not sure. Saizen is a growth hormone you inject a few times during stims usually, and there's evidence to suggest that it can help with egg numbers and quality. It's expensive though, I've heard most people say it's either $100 or $200 per jab.

Oh I was on dhea for a while but it didn't help..sorry. It did make me feel fine about using donor eggs though because I knew I had tried everything.

Hi ladies, I've been on dhea for a week, I have the greasy hair, pimples and more libido side effects, also a bit of a short fuse!

I took saizen last ivf cycle. I def think it gave me better quality eggs. It's fiddle to mix (kinda like pregnyl). It cost me 165 per injection and I had 12 injections! Side effects of saizen for me were aching legs and swollen feet.

    Good luck!

Well since this thread has popped up again, I thought I'd update by saying that the combination of DHEA and Testogel for 3 months, plus Saizen and 600iu Gonal-F in my following stim cycle, resulted in 2 blasties transferred, 3 in the freezer, and my little boy who is currently kicking away in my belly. So either one or a combination of these things definitely worked for me!
