    Hi Ladies,
Moving to a different state I have found my missing the friendship that I did have
but now being so far apart it's not the same.
I find myself lonely when I think of things that I would like to do with a close friend.
I am shy person at times but do eventually open up.
Would love to have a close girlfriend to go out and have cuppa with/movie some
    time/or just chat.
I live in Brisbane on the bayside so if you live close or maybe 30/40min away
and are looking for a new friend message me...

    Hi

I noticed that you've put this thread in the 30 & also 40 age group areas, and you said that people replied to your first thread were too young.

I can only suggest that you add in either your age, or what age group you're looking to be mates with to get further replies.

    Good luck.

Hi Stampy I didn't say that the Ladies that did reply where too young.
What I was trying to say was that a lot of the Ladies that posted where young that was all and that it made me feel OLD on top of the lonely that I was already feeling....

I am open to what ever age, I am turning 40 this year so the reason that I posted in the 30's and 40's thread was that I haven't come to terms yet that I will be 40 yet as I am still young at heart..

I have one really close friend who is thirty and I am 38. We have kids the same age makes no diff to friendship. Actually come to think it most of my g/friends are much younger probably as a result of being an older patent and our kids bring us together.

Hey OP. I too am 40 this year and I have friends all ages 21-60. I understand what you mean by being lonely and feeling old but age is just a number. If I had worried about age I would never have married DH, he's 30, I would've worried about my relationship with my MIL, she 12 yrs older than me and some of my best friends wouldn't be my best friends. When i had DS I was 19 so when he started school I was actually one of the youngest mothers there. The fact that you have kids is the one thing you can relate to with ladies of any age. Don't feel old, just feel like a mum and hey we might not be close to where you live but we're all here to listen and help.
