Default I've realised that my 9mo 'self-settles' just fine...

    He just needs to first:

    crawl around the bed
    roll around
    kiss my face
    sit up
    lie back down again
    clap his hands
    blow raspberries
    stand up
    roll over
    climb on top of me
    babble
push his feet into my chest
    roll over to his side/tummy
then fall asleep holding my hand

    DH, DS and me!

It's moments like this you'll remember forever
When your baby is all grown up will you really regret holding them so much, or regret not holding them more?

Same here! its the best way to wake, with slobbery kisses, or someone pulling your nose off

Ahahaha, that's so cute - thank you for posting that, I needed to read that right now!

I've just spent the last hour trying to get my daughter to have her morning sleep, she's still awake....and every morning it's the same - she's tired (all the signs are there), I change her, put her to sleep, and for the next hour (almost on the dot!) she 'self settles' like your bub - she sings, rolls over, crawls around the cot, cries out for me, laughs when I tuck her back in, sings some more, messes her nappy, cries out for me to change her, giggles when I change her and pop her back in her cot and snuggle her in, gets hyperactive and happy cos she's done her morning poo and is all clean again, gets completely wrapped up in her blankets, does some sit-ups, spins around some more, ends up with her head at the wrong end of the cot, cries out again, and eventually goes to sleep

And the next morning we do it all again

At least at night she goes straight to sleep and I don't hear from her again lol....such a difference!!

Thanks again.....and now she's just gone to sleep....finally!
    Me DH

    Beautiful DD
