Default ~ IVF in August ~

I know it's a while off yet, but just wanted to see if there is anyone else scheduled for August?

Here is my story. Went through first IVF cycle in Oct 09 and was lucky enough to concieve DD from our fresh transfer of two embies (obviously one didn't take). I have just been through 90% of my medicated FET cycle which was very similar drug-wise to a full stim cycle and was meant to have FET today. We only had one embie left from our first cycle and it was thawed on Thursday. Since Thursday it didn't grow any further so remained at 6 cells today. The FS cancelled this cycle. So I am back to square one, as far as IVF goes. I am very lucky to have my DD and it does ease the pain of this cycle being cancelled. I would like to start again ASAP but we can't for two reasons. We suffer from MFI so DH is on specific meds that affect his sperm quality and he has to be on them for a couple of months (we only started his meds 1 month ago) and secondly our FS goes on holidays for all of July so we have no option but to wait til August. We could go with another FS, but I would prefer to wait for ours. So that is pretty much where I am up to at the moment. Still heartbroken that my embie didn't make it. But I guess I was kidding myself that I could be THAT lucky, to get DD and another baby from the one cycle....

Would love to hear from anyone else scheduled for August or would like to chat in the meantime while we wait patiently for August to come around.

    Hi there!

I am scheduled for EPU on 17th August!!!! We have a 10mth old DD from my 2nd IVF/ICSI cycle and have just used up our last frosties with no luck....so back to square one it is. Our clinic only does Blastocyst cycles every few months so thats why we are waiting till August.

Fingers crossed that all our waiting will bring us luck

    Hi

We're scheduled to do our next fresh stim (after a failed fresh cycle with no frosties) in late July, early August. My cycles have never played very nice and I know they can be even crazier post IVF so I'm really hoping all goes to plan and I should start stimming in late July for ER in early August.

Our failed cycle in May was really awful and we've change specialist and clinic and I have to have a hysterscopy and cervical dilation before we go again so that's in a couple of weeks and then he wants me to have a rest cycle before we start again which kind of suits me, I found the whole doing IVF with a little one (DS is 17 months) really emotionally draining.

My cycles are all over the place now, too, so I'm signing up here as well as in July, I hope that's ok. Of course I'm hoping something will happen in July and there won't need to be a cycle in August, but so far I haven't been that successful.

    Hi everyone

I think we're going to be an August stim cycle now too...

Short of the long story is that I think our current stim cycle is going to be cancelled as my endometrium has been too thick to start FSH injections. I'm going for another scan on Tuesday (CD11) but have resolved myself to the fact that it wouldn't have gotten any thinner since last weeks scan so am unlikely to get the go ahead to start FSH

If this cycle is cancelled we too can't start another stim till our FS gets back from leave in early August (think we're both with Wazza, Nicole). They'll just put me on the pill so I can start when he returns. I'm pretty keen to just wait for him to return rather than going to someone else as I have full confidence in Wazza to get us our BFP!!!!

Let's hope August if full of happy endings

Yay it's nice to have some company while I wait impatiently for august. Yes, pink lady I am with Wazza too. That is interesting about the pill. I have To go back for a chat anyway post canceled cycle.

So what is everyone doing to distract themselves until august? We are currently working on dd's birthday present she is getting a cubby house! It has been more of a gift for us keeping us occupied with a fun project. But I am sure she will love it.

    Hi ladies,
My story is a bit long winded, I hope you don't mind me jumping on here too.
I have a DS conceived naturally, he is 3, I also had a second DS who was still born last July. Since then we haven't been able to fall pregnant again. So I went to a FS to try IUI due to the fact my husband is always away for work, so I was just thinking it was a timing thing. Anyway, turns out I have a low AMH. We've done 2 IUI cycles & 1 IVF cycle which was cancelled just before EPU. My FS is now talking egg donor.
Anyway I have recently made an appointment with a new FS who everyone recommends, Warren DeAmbrosis (i think that's how you spell his name) but I couldn't get in to see him til mid August.
So I am kind of in the same boat, having to wait til August & it's driving me crazy!

DS #2 Jay Blaik born sleeping 27th July 2010
