Good luck with the appointment C2po8.

AFM: No confirmed ovulation yet but I got temp dip the last couple of days so I'm hoping that it is happening now.

I haven't tried that one but for the past 8 months I've been sticking to a low GI diet. Studies show that PCOS is linked to insulin levels and so if we get insulin levels under control, our hormones balance themselves out a bit. And you can loose weight on it because it's about eating foods that keep you fuller for longer and therefore eating less. There's a book I read when I first got diagnosed that really helped me adjust my diet - "Low GI Diet for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome" by Prof Jeannie Brand-Miller.

Good luck with whichever one you choose... and I hope you're feeling better about it all.

    Default hi everyone

Well last night i read the last 10 pages on this thread and id love to introduce myself.
    Me 25 hubby 31
    DD 6y DS 1.5y

I was diagnosed with PCOS Last week(25 cysts on the left and 22 on the right- does anyone know if that is alot?) its seems iv actually had it for years :O
after putting everything together however i dont have all the symptoms at a strong degree if that makes sense but several. I fell pregnant with my 2 on my first cycle off the pill and apparantly this is the best time for PCOS.. so i got lucky and not knowing this when i went off the pill last Aug (due to mygrains and mini stroke like symptom) we then decided in Nov to start trying so probably 4 cycles off the pill.. Well no joy yet so i went and saw my GP last week and had scans and blood tests..

I saw my gyno 2 days ago and he has started me on 50 ml Clomid as of CD5, what all ur thoughts on this?

Im now waiting for AF hmmmm no idea when :P somewhere between a 20-42 day cycle.

Fingers are crossed it works!!! Im very nervous.. and worried about side effects and MC higher risk

I have had 5 friends have babies in the last 7 mnths and still 10 pregnant!! yep thats right :O best friend due in 2 weeks, and my cousin just anounced the other day.. so im so deflated bout them all around me, however still very happy for them. I am a student nurse and desire to do my midwifery after my div 1 finished.

sorry if im not using all the short hand yet.. im sure il pick it up quickly.. and il try work out how to do a signature too
Look forward to reading all your updates serveral congrats are in order

thankyou for all sharing your stories and reading mine. to you all

I feel very blessed to have the 2 babies i have but i still want more :P so

    Hi Equine Magic,
I have 'graduated' from this thread but i still read along to see how everyone is going. You'll be very supported by the lovely ladies here.
Good luck with the clomid - there is a clomid support thread which will give you heaps of info - and while it is different for everyone, for me I got pregnant on my first round and now I am 8 weeks with twins!
Everyone else - know i am still following your journeys and thinking of you often x

    Welcome to the thread!!!

I am currently CD 58 and no sign of AF or being UTD. I think I might have Oed at CD 51 (only because my cervix was high, firm and open) so I will pretend I am in TWW and the go to my Gp and ask for a referral to my OBGYN and ask for Something to help me O.

    Welcome equinemagic.

I'm just coming towards the end of my first clomid cycle which was 50mg. I had a day 21 blood progesterone test done and I didn't ovulate so I'll going back on primolut from the first day of my missed period to induce AF and then taking 100mg of clomid a day from day 2-6 of my next cycle.

Some people have day 12 scans as well as blood tests while on Clomid but I think a lot of doctors just rely on the day 21 progesterone test. I've never heard of anyone taking it without any checks at all.

Hope some of that helps equinemagic.
