    Question creche??

i have recently started at the gym and put my bub into a creche (day care) onsite... he does not like it at all.

i dont feel he gets the attention that he does from me and he gets quite upset and screams. we live away from all family so he has never really been under the care of anyone else besides me and my partner?

any suggestions...all i can think of is getting up early (5.45) and going before he wakes and be home before my partner needs to get ready for work.

it makes me feel sick sending him to creche to scream like that

    he is 8 1/2 months onld..is it just a stage...should i try again later??

    thanks

    Default Separation Anxiety

    Hi Natalie,

Sounds to me like your bub is going through separation anxiety?

My DS is five months old and has been going to the creche at my gym since he was 7 weeks old. This creche only allows you to leave your bub there for a maximum of 2 hours whilst you do your workout.

It has never been a problem me leaving him there until this week. Up until now he's been fine, and is always happy and smily. But now he cries or grisles the whole time I am gone.

I believe he has gotton to the age where he knows mummy has gone and he frets for me until I get back. Perhaps this is what's happening with your son?

Personally, I would persist. Is there one creche carer in particular that you would feel comfortable with to pull aside and let that you live away from all family so he has never really been under the care of anyone else besides you and your partner? As long as the creche carers are kind and understanding and patient with your son, then I would not worry to much about it. If you are going to the gym on a regular basis, then he will get used to it.

It's important to have time out for yourself (like going to the gym), and these gym creches provide that time that you might not otherwise get. Make the most of it I say!!

    Good luck with it all.......
