Instead of purchasing an item from our usual baby store & asking them to do a price match I thought i would buy it direct from somewhere who had it advertised cheaper...at the time I thought how much different could the service honestly be but I guess when they say you get what you pay for they refer to service not just product. Now, less then 3wks later, the item has stopped working & all the store would say is there's nothing they can do & I would have to send the item direct to the manufacturer. I have since spoken to the Office of Fair Trading who have advised me this is not the case. Anyway after looking on such websites as productreview.com.au & seeing how many complaints are out there for this particular shop (has 1 of the lowest star ratings of all the childrens stores) you would think they would know the laws. For anyone interested it is worth having a look at the "services" section which then gives you an option to look up shops by name. I know most reviews on the website would be bad ones but it has to say something about a business which has so many them. Anyway i figure the best thing I can do now is take any prices from their website to another store who give better service & price match.
