I was not aware of a Naval base in Townsville I always thought that Army was Townsville and Navy was Cairns....... Goes to show you how much I know.

MrsPee - you are right! In Townsville there is an Army Barracks and a Raaf Base. Cairns is the closet Naval Base.

Mummyof2's DH is looking at getting posted to either the Army Barracks or the Raaf Base Hospitals (he is a medic in the Navy).
