Hi everyone Hope you're all having a lovely weekend and not madly rushing around like headless chickens to prepare for Christmas. Oh wait, that would be me

Leanne - lovely to hear from you hun Glad you took the time you needed to prepare for your next cycle. Where are you up to?

Sugar - how did your tests go? I've been thinking about you. 22 weeks tomorrow!! How does it feel to be on the homeward stretch?! Are you feeling regular movements now? I haven't joined the Due In thread because I made a choice a while ago just to be on one thread - otherwise it gets too busy and I don't like to miss people out when I post. So you girls are my lifeline and I get wonderful support from you - regardless of what stage we're all at.

Micca - hope the vajayjay itch has gone - sounded awful!! I hope you enjoyed your days off and are calmly preparing for your overseas Christmas holiday

BlueAngel - I'm so sorry your cycle was cancelled. I would be livid with the lack of communication from your Clinic/FS. Really poor form. I hope you were able to give them some feedback! I was on 450 Gonal-f too. Hopefully it will help stimulate those ovaries a bit more.

Dees - I hope everything is still going well for you!!

Baby Please - I hope you're taking good care of yourself I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier about Facebook but I'm not actually on it.

Nelle - hope the nausea and tiredness has eased. I wish I had some symptoms that made me feel more pregnant. Other than having to get up to pee twice during the night, I have no other symptoms.

WannaBeAMum80 - I used Donor Sperm through a Fertility Clinic in Perth. I think from memory the cost of the sperm was about $800 but there are preparation costs etc that are an extra $200-$300 per cycle. There are many other costs associated with IUI/IVF/ICSI but these will all vary depending on the Clinic that you go to. I also had to wait a few months before Donor Sperm was available as the demand was quite high in Perth. In WA you are not able to import sperm from intersate or overseass though some ladies on this thread were able to access overseas sperm depending what State they were in. I was only able to choose from 2 donors due to the limited supply available, but others on this thread had a much greater selection! I've had 2 ICSI cycles - a chemical pregnancy the first time and am now 10 weeks pregnant from my second cycle. Feel free to ask any other questions!

AFM: Sorry I've been a bit quiet. I've been trying to just get through each day before my next scan on Tuesday. There are some days where I think it will all be fine, and other days I remember the look of concern on the OB's face and wonder if everything will be alright when I go in on Tuesday afternoon. Please, please, please be alright!

leanne...Im so glad that your new FS is so good ..you seem really positive. It is hard to get through all the emotions and feeling like a failure or inadequate woman... but you are none of those...I hope that you can look forward to 2012 getting fat.!!!.
Thats exactly what you need after bfns/MC...some proper thorough testing... my biopsy showed the endometrial infection which was totally unexpected and would have prevented implantation until it was fixed... and I had no symptoms. so its a good thing to have all the tests.
the colarado protocol is like an antagonist protocol... start on day 1 or 2 of cycle... use prednisone to suppress any immune issues, take antiboitics before transfer..again to rule out any asymptomatic infections.. like endometritis. It also is often used with DHEA..the colarado has great success with older eggs...
2 things I will be taking that are new for my cycle... melatonin..improves egg quality- 3mg at night and deer velvet (from natropath) which improves luteal support and implantation chances. Im also on DHEA 75mg day.

oh and my family are all in auckland...not many of them though..just my parents aunt, uncle and cousin..

dees... great that the beta is going up, I hope you remain well

blueangel... bugger about the cycle being cancelled..I agree with everyone the communication has a lot to answer for.. I would seriously consider a different clinic after that sort of carry on..... after being on the brink of cancelling a cycle myself I actually realise that in hindsight it is far better to have everything going well rather than to push through suboptimal conditions... the injecting and growing follicles is the easy part of IVF... its the retrevial and embie report/2ww I find the hardest.

Sugar........hope you passed your GTT..?? are you putting Bio-oil on your stomach? I did from 13weeks and I have not got a single stretch mark... so it must have helped.. Ive just got a jelly belly now..and a little pot of fat..lol..

wish........ not long until the scan..Im sure that it will be fine... and you will be able to enjoy a lovely christmas with a nice warm fuzzy feeling.... are you going to do a nucal translucency test for trisomies?? (done week 11-14) .

babyplease.... woohoo on getting those antibiotics from the GP... so that side of things is taken care of... now lets hope that you can get fat in 2012 as well...looks like there will be quite a lot of us cycling together in jan.

    babyhopes...how are things..let us know.

nelle... I hope that you are feeling a lot better...you might have to trial one of those aahaa bras and tell us ladies how it goes..considering it is supposed to expand with breasts as they grow... I actually think I would give one a go.

Wanna.... I cycled in sydney... and used american sperm.. from xytex.. I had about 20 donors to choose from and it cost me about $950 a straw which is pretty standard for overseas DS. Its great to have your entire family behind you.. I was lucky and that mine were very supportive as well...my own cheer squad..it was just a shame they live in NZ.

well I have been busy beyond belief.. sorting out everything for christmas... getting ready to go away... mowing lawns gardening, cleaning my car (first time since March..lol) baking biscotti to give to all my work mates... and running around after DD....
The vajayjay probs seem to have settled (thrush confirmed on swab) ... but I have an extra fluconazole just in case. getting close to finishing antibiotics as well... have been on a super course to kill any remaining endometrial infection. ..I hope it does....
Anyway so tired.. DD graced me with lots of grizzling from 11pm-1am last night then at 3am, 4am,5am..no idea why..and easily settled but it gave me a broken sleep... and of course with babies...no sleep in...lol.. yep ladies that aint gunna happen for many many many years...
packed for nz this arvo..well tried to.. DD pulled things out as fast as i put things in ... difficult as the weather is cool over there... 18-20deg... so I have probably put way too much clothes in for DD... me i have like undies and about 5 pieces..lol... Im sure I will repack everything tomorrow night..still got 2 bottles of wine to fit in as well..lol...
busy day at work tomorrow... and then Im off for 2 weeks..ooh must remember to book uss for when I return.. praying for my cycle to arrive around jan 4th.

    have a good monday everyone.

BlueAngel - Im sorry that your cycle was cancelled hun , I would be questioning your FC and possibily be looking around for a new one.

Wannabeamum - welcome!! Its such a big decision to do this alone, but its also very exciting and I remember I was just itching to start the process, but its not a quick one unfortunately, many steps to take.
I was with Melbourne IVF, I thought my FS was great and also found most of the staff and nurses there really friendly too. As your in Melbourne you wont have the option of getting in sperm from OS as you cant import sperm into Victoria. I went with donor recruited sperm, had about 8 profiles to choose from. Melbourne IVF is pretty pricey, you pay for sperm as a once off payment, so its alot of money upfront.
If you have decided which clinic you want to go with already, I would get a referal from your GP and then phone the clinic and book in with an FS as soon as you can, you might find that you might have to wait until Feb or later before any appointments are available. If your interested in Melbourne IVF, PM me and I will give you my FS's name, she was really good .

Leanne - lovely to hear from you hun, big hugs for your tough week . My bump is pretty big hun, I must work out how to post photos on here! I have bought a couple of things, havent gone too crazy just yet, I have been given lots of stuff though, my cousin who had a girl in July gave me a huge bag full of gorgeous clothes . Great news about your new FS hun, cant wait to follow your progress.

Wish - Yes, Im getting lots of movement now, its so amazing, I really love it. There are times during the day when she is pretty regular with her movements, she wakes up when my alarm oes off pretty much every morning, I think she must hear it (its a pretty loud alarm), she gives me a couple of little kicks hello . Fair enough about the thread hun, I find it can take me a while to reply on both. Im sure bubs is doing fine, enjoy seeing him/her again - are you going to find out the sex by the way?

Micca - yep, been using Bio Oil from about 9w, so far so good, although the way my tummy is growing Im expecting to get a few stretchies ! that thrush stays away, not a nice xmas pressie!! Have a great time in NZ, I hope you and little A have a wonderful family xmas .

I hope everyone else is doing well.

AFM - still no news from the hospital about the tests (gestational diabetes and graves disease), so my guess is I have neither of them - which is good news, although Im a little worried about my fundal measurement being 4 weeks ahead and the OB did say that there is a lot of fluid around bubs, which I know isnt a good thing, so of course now Im stressing about what could be wrong. The worry and stress seems never-ending sometimes!!
Other than all that, its so amazing to feel so much movement, Im really loving it . Think the 'nesting' bug hit me over the weekend, I ended up cleaning and sorting though my underwear/sock/bra draws and sorting them into sizes (putting all the 'big' sizes to the front ) and then did my PJ draw and my swimwear draw - it took ages, so much junk in there! After all that I was exhausted!
