grrr just typed a huge reply and small baby hands pushed buttons on laptop and lost it,.... not sure why she is so obsessed with the laptop... but it makes it hard to type while she is awake I tell you..

    Leanne
I am so sorry to hear of your BFN.. it is even harder when you recieve the news away from home. That reply by the nurse stating being overweight is stopping it working is most inappropriate and quite untrue, I can not believe that she said that to you in the same breath as telling you your BFN..what a total b1tch..and so unproffessional. There have been multiple papers looking at weight and IVF and the conclusions are that weight may affect the quality of male sperm and can have an input if you have PCOS, but it does not affect eggs or fertilisation or implantation. The only time it can be a problem is when you are pregnant and it increases the risks of pregnancy and preterm birth... So she is so imappropriate and I would personaly write a letter of complaint.
SOmthing similar happened to me with a nurse at my last clinic.. about doing a fresh cycle... and I ended up talking to the FS.. it was the last straw and shortly after I left the clinic (after my 3rd cycle and BFP) ... so while weight loss is always good it has no impact on IVF and getting pregnant.

Dees..hope your blood tests are good....

Baby..... fantastic fertilisation report....now all those embies have to do is grow and grow... cant wait for your day 3 report. Are you doing a day 3 or 5 transfer?

well a frustrating day...spent a lot of it downloading photos onto the harvey norman site and had just selected them to order when I swiped across the twitter icon on their site and went there ..and lost the selection..so I will have to go and try again..
oh dear tired baby just fell and is crying...got to go.

Leanne, I'm so sorry sweetheart, its so unfair. I cannot believe how insensitive and unprofessional that nurse was to make that comment at all let alone after giving you bad news xxx

Leannep- firstly big hugs for your bfn. And secondly as for not falling pregnant because your overweight what a load of rubbish. This year i have managed to fall twice with Ivf I may of had one miscarriage and well I'll say this one is pending. And leanne let me tell you I'm extremely overweight ou can pm me and I'll tell you how much. I would not let the stupid cow upset you to much.

Babyplease- great fertilisation rates are you doing a 5 or 3 day transfer. I reckon you'll get some in the freezer out of them.

Micca- I really hope you feel better soon there's nothing worse than feeling sick and for so long. I'm of to see my gp tomorrow to get a script for more pessaries if he'll let me.

Sugar berry- congrats on a baby girl, all I can thinks of is all that shopping for pink dresses.

Wishmeluck- I have my 7 week scan on the 13th dec and I wish I was looking forward to it. But I'm do worried about it. What day is your next scan all will be good for you. I think I'll be happy when I get to 12 weeks and the placenta takes over making progesterone.

Afm- todays blood test came back with hcg 3100 and progesterone 7. It has at least gone up but still low. I had to convince my fs to give me that blood test all she said was, there is only do many blood tests we can do, how about giving me peace of mind so I'll do one every day if that's what it takes. Anyway so they don't want to give me any extra pessaries so I'm of to see my gp tomorrow and try and convince him. All the clinic says while the hcg is rising nicely and your not bleeding all is good . I've booked my 7 week scan for the 13th dec so fingers crossed there's one or two little heart beats in there. Just one question it really doesn't matter how much pessaries I take does it ?

Leanne - am sorry to hear of your BFN it's very disappointing time after time. As for being told it's due to your weight.... OMG if someone told me that I would have wanted to deck them!!!! I am an obese person who struggles with my weight and my sedentary job doesn't help. when I feel pregnant with my daughter I was 135kg and when I had her I was 110kg. For me pregnancy was a great weight loss program!!! In saying that over 2.5 years I have put on 10kg again!!!! Not once has my fertility specialist said it would be THE reason for me not getting pregnant. My advice to you is to make sure you eat healthy and reduce your sugar intake (this helped me lots)!!!! I'd put in a complaint about the nurse too her comments were just uncalled for!!!

    More soon.....

Micca - I have aready brought a couple of little girl outfits, I couldnt resist . I hope that virus of yours has started to clear up. Have you put up your xmas tree yet, Im going to do mine over the weekend .

Babyplease - great fert rates hun ! When is ET?

Leanne - Im so sorry about your BFN hun, big hugs to you . Our weight can be such a battle sometimes, but I honestly dont think that FN had any right in saying that to you either, I would speak with your FS, it might even be a good idea to change clinics or at least find a new FS in same clinic. I went with Melbourne IVF and thought my FS was great, happy to give you her name - PM if your interested hun. I wish I could make everything better for you sweets .

Dees - great to hear your HCG is rising nicely, but that progesterone of yours..... must be worrying you hun . I would definately be getting more pessaries, if I had any left I would send them to you! I dont think you can take too much progesterone, you need it and it wont harm bubs Im sure - Micca I hope thats right?

Wish - hope your going ok, not long till your next scan.

Dees... you cannot overdose on progesterone..... get a script for some 400mg ones if you can and then insert them morning and night... if not 200mg 4 x day.
its good that it is going up... but it really does need to be higher as the only progesterone that is keeping the pregnancy going is coming from the pessaries... all chemists have the 200mg and they can be quite expensive... but often the 400mg are the same price as the 200mcg... but need to be made up by a compounding pharmacy... Id get 2 scripts... one for 200mg... 30 pessaries and one for 400mg 30 pessaries with 5 repeats on each... the GP will have no idea and if you just present what you want written down and explain its ivf they should gladly do it.. most chemists including pharmacy direct stock 200mg 15 for $95 which is hideaous... I have seen people get them for less... 400mg 40 for $65... its just a matter of shopping around...

DEES...bulk billing clinics with 5mins consults are always the go for scripts...
otherwise just tell your clinic you are running low... get a heap and then get a script at a later date..

Good morning ladies. Well I am 10dp2dt and finally caved and POAS - confirm EPT and.....

OMG, it is a BFP, faint but very obvious. I am so happy and just can't believe it has worked. I had no real symptoms except on and off AF cramps and slightly more severe cramps with lower back pain on 8dp2dt!! I only had one little 2 day embie put back so goes to show that it only takes one!! We will all get there.

Ok I'm off back to sleep now, if I can!
